Onto The One Show on the 5th of December with guests John Barrowman and Julia Bradbury. We get another story to embarrass Matt - about kissing John at the TV Awards (Matt started the anecdote, and apparently the kiss too
)Matt with his earring ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at212300.png Love all of these: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at212512.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at212645.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at212851.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at213253.png Can almost hear that hearty laugh in this one, can't you http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at213107.png The hills are alive with the sound of music? http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at214221.png And these are lovely too http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at214640.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at214657.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...12at214936.png |

Great Countryfile tonight … a lot of cute close-ups of the FBB
… loved Matt’s segments and also liked Julia’s and Katie’s segments ….Eric broke Adam’s bucket. Mitch, Annie and Riley are all lovely … Matt not just sent Riley a few second earlier; Riley was a red little arrow,,, I think Matt felt sorry for Riley but little doggie had nice cuddles from Matt so not bad at all. Julia still managed to mention ‘Baker is competitive’, she knows the Baker boy so well”

This is a super ballet pose with Matt showing his tremendous physique and strength..... http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at113154.png What with lifting Aliona, Julia, Alex and goodness knows who else, the poor chap must be worn out So back to the One Show tomorrow....one of the delights of Sunday night's CF is the knowledge that he'll be back on our screens the next evening Let's face it, we're spoilt!!!!!POCs to all those facing snowy conditions on the way to work tomorrow, keeping fingers and everything crossed that it won't be as bad as forecasted as busy bakerettes haven't got time to be messing with freezing weather and slipperyness ![]() CCM everyone. xx |

Rating for last night's Countryfile was good, particularly as it was up against Dancing on Ice: 19:00 - Countryfile: 6.36m (24.4%). It's actually only about 0.5m viewers behind DOI now - wonder if one week it could beat it

I love the way he was so upset on behalf of the dog he raced for letting him/her down. The dog of course is probably unaware it lost - or indeed was supposed to win - anything, but would have picked up Matt's emotions. A lovely CF altogether, in spite of the several hoods Matt appeared to be wearing at the beginning. I must admit I've been known to dress like that too. The secret is to start again and make sure one of your garments is hoodless ![]() A great rating for last night, yes. It would be lovely as kk says to see it pass DOI, which seems to be failing slightly. As a Wodehouse fan I was happy to see Blandings get a good rating too. Hope it continues. |

It's The One Show on the 6th December with guest Darcey Bussell. Matt and Alex recreated one of her poses - once more illustrating Matt's strength is greater than his size would indicate
![]() I always think of the extraordinary strength Matt demonstrated in the last lift in his and Aliona's AT. I can't even stand up unaided from the position he was in on one knee, and to do it with Aliona on his back and suffering from training injuries was phenomenal I thought. These are my favourites here: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at111733.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at111849.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at112357.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at112532.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...13at112542.png |

So we have what many will see as the wrong Brian Cox on TT tonight
I don't know this actor. Or at least, I recognize his face but cannot recall what I've seen him in. It's a wait and see episode for me.

Hello – if you had snow in your area hope you stay safe if you go out and about. I slipped and fell over this morning just at the entrance of Wesfield. The problem was it was snowing and the ice stuck in the heels of my boots within 5 minutes of walking on the pedestrian area. It was very slippery to walk on so I glided and fell over. Thank God, apart from having a bit pains, I had no fracture at all. Quote:
Evening. Yes, Emma it was a terrific CF wasn't it! Managed to see most of the Mr B sequences (had relatives round) and marvelled at the speed of both the lovely dogs and the lovely Matt as they sped up the 'lane'.

Very exciting....shame I didn't have a handy dog to enrol at the time And what a jolly fine One Show tonight. Didn't hear much of what Brian Cox said as I was too busy falling about and thudding at MrB and his soft and fluffy hair, beautiful! He looked a bit warm in his jumper despite the cold outside. Last time this particular branch of family tried to all get together was a dinner for a special birthday in London in 2006. It never happened because I fell ill the night before and ended up spending 2 weeks in intensive care followed by a month in hospital and another month in a recuperation clinic. Think I was subconsciously worried it might happen again because as soon as I saw everyone at the airport I relaxed, and realized that was what had been at the back of my mind and why I was so tense. Maybe it's just taking a long time to shake that off. Anyway I now have to catch up on last night's TT! |

I'm just about recovered from that feeling but am off to the Panto tonight(Oh yes I am). Goodness Rita 2006 was a year to remember for you. So glad all your preperations passed off without a hitch. Well not a flake so far here but brilliant sunshine albeit a tad on the parky side and nothing forecast. Thank goodness for our little microclimate here. However the boots have mad an unwelcome appearance but at least they are not the wellie kind |

Olympics London 2012: The Greatest Moments of Matt Baker (Part 4)
Hello – I am filling in the blank of KK's photo review 2012 and I am nearly there now!
Day 11 BBC One Tuesday 7 Aug 2012 North Greenwich Arena 14.15-16.00 (live steam 14:00 - 16:57) Well, it was the last day of the Artistic Gymnastics at the NGA where the finals of Men's Parallel and Horizontal Bars, Women's Beam and Floor Exercise disciplines were taken place. It was an early start and early finish (during office hours) so I missed it out when it went on air though I did catch up on the live steam and a few bits on BBC 1. Matt was busy as usual presenting and commentating on the gymnastics alongside Mitch and Christine. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...Finals-001.jpg Matt interviews Olga Korbut and Jenny before the Women’s Beam finals http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-004.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-005.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-009.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-014.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-016.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-032.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-036.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-039.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...mDay11-045.jpg The BBC showed a clip of the young Olga first time ever attempted the backflip on the Beam, later I have learnt from Matt and Christine that it is now also known as the Korbut flip (possibly named after her). Jenny mentioned that it has now become one of the required elements in that discipline. When the finalists of the Women's Beam were being introduced Matt was still chatting with Olga and Jenny as we can see them in these pics (just behind the girls so we can guess where he interviewed them.) http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...Finals-007.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...Finals-008.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...Finals-009.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...Finals-010.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...Finals-014.jpg It was Mitch who did the introductory bit covering for Matt. As soon as he was back to the commentary box, I could hear Mitch happily handed over to Matt. Mitch: So style and elegance (of the women’s beam finalists), and is Matt Baker! Matt: (giggling) Thank you. I just sit down from my dismount. (Cheeky!) ![]() Judging from the conversations between Matt, Mitch and Christine on that day; Matt had interviewed Mitch before the Men’s Horizontal Bar final. I guess it was after the Men's Parallel Bar final and during the victory ceremony because Christine was the only one left in the commentary box talking though about it. Presumably they have talked about Ipke Zonderland. Matt introduced Ipke to the viewers not just as a finalist of horizontal bar but as a medical student and a skateboard rider. Seems he’s a bit of fan boy. Matt also promised us that Ipke’s performance was going to be spectacular. All top 3 gymnasts in that discipline and their routines were brilliant and they performed incredibly well but Ipke’s dismount was just thought to be perfect. I found really funny when I heard Mitch suddenly said, ‘sit down Matt!’ He was actually commentating on the Korean gymnast, the last finalist swinging on the horizontal bar at that point. After that round, Mitch: ‘It’s time to sit down. Have you sat down yet Matt?’ Matt: I am. I am now. ![]() Again before the Women’s Floor Exercise, I reckon Matt interviewed Christine because it was only Mitch talking through the victory ceremony of the men’s horizontal bar final. Beth was the former world champion on floor so they probably mentioned about it during the interview. Both Matt and Chris joined Mitch when the finalists were being introduced. At a point Matt said, ‘Using Cossack music to leap ahead of Russian.’ If I am not mistaken, he was referring Catalina Ponor scoring ahead of Aliya Mustafina. Don’t know was it a bad joke or not. He’s just hilarious as always. At the end of the program Matt said, this is it from NGA and it was!!! ![]() ----------------------------------------------------- Day 12 BBC 1 Wednesday 8 August 2012 Olympics Park Studio 11.20-13.00 Matt presents the coverage of the athletic and the equestrian followed by the first stage of the individual show jumping final. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...080812-051.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...080812-053.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...080812-057.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...080812-067.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...080812-071.jpg Day 12 BBC 2 Wednesday 8 August 2012 Olympics Park Studio 13.00-13.45 The coverage of Equestrian continues on BBC 2 Previous Post 2039 – 8 August 2012 Matt in the Olympics Park Studio (full picspam) http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=2039 ----------------------------------------------------- Day 13 BBC 1 Thursday 9 August 2012 Olympics Park Studio 11.20-13.00 It was the day of the women's long-distance swim in the Serpentine, and there was serious conversations going on between Matt and Claire. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-049.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-057.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-074.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-088.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-096.jpg Day 13 BBC 2 Thursday 9 August 2012 Olympics Park Studio 13.00-14.15 Continuation of the women's long-distance swim as it reached to the climax, with bonus views of Matt standing at the balcony... http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-208.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-254.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-257.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-274.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-284.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...090812-287.jpg Previous Post 2047 & 2077 – 9 August 2012 Matt in the Olympics Park Studio (full picspam) http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=2047 http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=2077 |

It's great to have the pictures and video links all in one place! I've been one of the latter for the last day or so....was too worn out to post yesterday evening ![]() So back to business.....just to echo KK's thanks to you Emma for your diligence in getting all the brilliant phawtaws and v/t links down on virtual paper for us! This brings back memories as I saw Matt after he left the Olympic Park BBC studio on that Wednesday. We had been watching a Handball match and made our way over to the food stalls/tents nearby to the studio...and the rest is history ![]() ![]() http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...080812-071.jpg I have been trawling through the Olympic vts but unfortunately there is no recording of Matt introducing the women's open swimming event at the Serpentine.....I just wanted to hear those immortal words again, said as only Matt can....'20 acre lake' in his soft Durham voice What a pity we'll never hear that again.....And those pics from 4 August are just lovely...... http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-117.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-067.jpg We certainly weren't short-changed of Matt sightings during that fabulous fortnight were we! Hope the panto was good Lotus? Expect all the stars were brilliant, must be the best one in the country! Yes, my holiday should be a great one SkyBlue....am already making big plans.....mostly around what cruise attire to take! And yes, we are leaving from your home port Lotus....it's such an easy way to travel, everything is taken care of, will nevertheless stock up on the old seasickness pills! We have an hour of delectable Mattiness tonight.....roll on 6.58....can't remember the guests but they are superfluous to my requirements anyway

Afternoon all - ratings updates for The One Show this week: 4.67m on Monday and 4.68m yesterday which is very consistent! I don't have percentages as the only place I found these numbers are Attentional which doesn't list them
![]() Didn't really watch the show last myself - twitter melodrama got in the way... I'll admit it did just seem a bit of a run-of-the-mill show so I hope tonight is good! |

Reading about the losses I quickly checked my stock to see if I had the missing nuts (which I did), responded without thinking to a suggestion to upgrade, got taken to the application's website, closed it thinking I'd worry about that later only to find said application had been trashed - I suppose in preparation for upgrade - and is unretrievable. My Time Machine is currently in the middle of a complete backup which will take days, but once finished I suppose I can just retrieve it from the archives. Thank goodness for the spreadsheet though!

Matt wasn't on Countryfile on the 9th of December so it's straight back to The One Show on the 10th of December. The guest was Placido Domingo.
I should say here that I love Matt's shirt - a dark blue, beautifully fitted and nicely unbuttoned . And the trousers would appear to match his earlier waistcoat and jacket too… (and the random Christmas tree is Matt's )Anyway - some good, classic, Matt poses here. These are my favourites: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at183236.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at183250.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at183620.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at212911.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at213403.png Ending with my favourite profile ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at213609.png I like the tree too. It's a nice homely, unpretentious tree that looks as though the kids have helped with the decoration. |

Hello – I missed a few bits of the OS tonight. Got to catch it up on ilpayer. Has anyone known yet where Matt will be filming CF on Friday? Looks like it will be snowing elsewhere on Friday in the UK so I just wonder what he and CF production team have planned. Quote:
Emma - thanks so much for your Olympic recaps
It's great to have the pictures and video links all in one place!![]() Quote:
Afternoon, readers and lurkers!
We had been watching a Handball match and made our way over to the food stalls/tents nearby to the studio...and the rest is history ![]() ![]() |
