I think that Everton will be after Martinez more than Lenny.

After being the only person inside Dens last week to not think Peter Pawlett dived, Alan Muir has been punished by being given the Celtic v St Johnstone game this weekend...

Think you are right. No Brattbakk needed today!

With Gary Caldwell only fit enough for the bench yesterday and having long term injury problems. I assume these injury problems are not considered when he gets his caps for Scotland

Yeah, what we're saying, if Everton wanted Lennon he would leave. He will look for any opportunity to manage down in England, especially since Rangers isn't there anymore. Our league is nothing without those two in the same division.

I bet he can't wait for Champions League. No challenge in the SPL for Celtic at the moment.

I do feel he would be a contender for Wigan should Martinez leave as I don't think he is ready for the jump to a mid level Premier side

lennon wont get offered any english jobs

the man hasn't done anything worthy of a move down south , and brings only bad press to a successful club

his only claim to fame is beating a poor barca side ....
and im looking at that objectively ,not through my rangers tinted glasses

imo he will stay at celtic, not through loyality but because of lack of options

so what has he done to achieve to merit a move south?

i can understand you not agreeing as he is a godlike figure to your support, but its true

he gets banned for stupid things , probably has assembled the worst celtic team in my memory , and struggles to get his team over the finish line

winning spl is a good achievment , but he has only done so while your clubs only competition has been severley mismanaged and demoted...
correct me if im wrong but wasnt celtic the last scottish club, maybe british club to win their league , when they shoulda on paper won it before anyone else...

so again what has he achieved as a manager...struggled in cups and domestically , performed fairly well in europe highlight being beating a barca side that is a shadow of barca sides of old

Winning SPL twice is a achievement, whether Rangers were there or not. Doing well in the Champions League will help raise Neil's profile. I dont think he is ready yet to go to England, however, he would do well at a team like Wigan or Stoke if he went there. You could argue that Walter Smith had it easy up here when Rangers won 9 in a row, lets face it most of those years Celtic were in desperate trouble. Only 2 out of those 9 years did Celtic challange Rangers for the title. However, it was still a huge achivement for Rangers to win 9 in a row. Yet Smith went to Everton and flopped.

so you agree with me, he isnt ready for a move south...thats all i was trying to say

im not saying he wont ever be, he is doing well afterall

i agree with most of what else you said except the part about rangers not being there

had he won those league titles with a decent rangers side as competition my opinion on his suitability would probably differ

Let me ask you a question What did Walter Smith do to merit a move down south? Just remind me of the strength of Celtic during 9 in a row as well as Walter Smith's embarrassing record in the CL?

So overturning a 15 point deficit last season (and no administration does not get your joke of a manger off the hook) was nothing?

Ha ha Celtic beat Barcelona and now its not worth that much as they are a shadow of the Barca of old. The same Barcelona that reached the semi final of the CL this season and won La Liga comfortably but Celtic should be expecting to beat them. Celtic got out of a tough group which had a strong Barca and a strong Benfica, like it or not you cannot downplay that achievement although you try.

You are spot on about Barca. Some teams have figured out how to play against them but they have still amassed 91 points this season with 3 games left, last season they got 91 points in total. 2010/11 they got 96 points and in 2009/10 they got 99 points.

Was a major LOL at his claim that we "struggle in cups and domestically". . To me "struggling" in cups would mean that we were struggling to get beyond the first round or two of the cups we are involved with. Since Lennon took over Celtic have got to at least the semi final of every domestic cup competition we have been involved in.

Likewise winning the league by 20 points last season and being 13 points ahead this season isn't what I would class as struggling either.

why bring walter and ally into it
i was simply making an observation and throwing in my opinion

and im right in what i said
he hasnt done anything to merit a move south , and your team have struggled...a few years ago celtic would have walked the league and cups, IMO neil lennon is a decent manager ,but IMO he has built one of the worst celtic sides ive seen ,
the fact that you won league by 20 points last year and only 13 this seasons affirms this...
lennon also has let the fans down with his behavior...how many games has he missed through suspension? he needs to stop supporting you on matchdays and manage you.

so LOL all you want , the truth can be funny

i think in a few years he will be ready to move anywhere , but right now i think him moving would be a mistake

so...back to invalid points about the past

In what way have Celtic struggled in the cups?

In what way is winning the league by 20 points and currently 13 points ahead struggling?

a few years ago celtic would have walked the league and cups,
Celtic have walked the league this season, the lead we have is evidence of that.

IMO neil lennon is a decent manager ,but IMO he has built one of the worst celtic sides ive seen ,
The worst Celtic side you've ever seen wins 7 games out of 12 in Europe including beating Barcelona and getting a very long awaited away win in the CL.

If this is the worst Celtic side you have ever seen you must be about 8 years old. Have you forgotten about the side we had when Tony Mowbray was in charge??

so LOL all you want , the truth can be funny
Only problem is your version of the 'truth' is warped beyond any sense of reality.

The worst Celtic team? Worse then Mowbray, Brady,Macari and Barnes? Don't think so.

By using this argument I assume you believe Barcelona are stronger now than they were in recent seasons simply be achieving a higher points total?

i think the only way lennon will quite celtic for WIGAN is if wigan stay up and celtic DON'T qualify for the champions league group stages!

and will he go to EVERTON without champions league games with them?
