It appears that the father of the man who died at ibrox today passed away yesterday. What an awful time for the family

Perhaps I am a tad naive, however, how does the seemingly 'hateful' attitudes between supporters of supporters of Celtic and Rangers suddenly transcend into messages of sympathy when an opposing fan dies?

The 'genuine hatred' expressed at games and whenever 'rivals' meet up ... does it suddenly end after 90 minutes or when a scarf is taken off?

No offence is meant to anyone but why can't you show respect to the living instead of the dead?

They are still going to get back to the SPL in the same timespan although ESPN likely quitting Scottish Football maybe significant in how this pans out
ESPN are not going to quit Scottish football unless they pull the plug on UK operations which could happen. They don't have enough content to keep going but dump Scottish football.

It's only a football game, however any life lost within the game is above any petty squabbling that may go on between rivals.

The guy was just a fan looking to watch the football, who here can not feel for him and his family at this time?

I bet you 99% of the other teams fans would be sad to hear of the loss of a life of the opposing fans at a game

Seems to be how the Scottish media never has interest in the SFL other than having Rangers in Division 3. There hasn't been a Sportscene Results on during the SPL winter break and when I listen to Sportsound this afternoon. They had the presenters talking like its Soccer Saturday during the match they were showing as they seem to have been doing in some games.

that will be open all mikes, thats what radio scotland do throughout the year, better way to do it rather than focus on one game. its not a new thing just because the spl are on holiday

I agree, but 99% of other fans does not add up to the hatred within Scottish football if you are comparing England to Scotland. Why does it always take a death to bring out the best within supporters of Scottish football?

One crowd sings of being up to their knees in Fenian blood, the other glorifies the PIRA every chance they get, yet suddenly when there is a death within their support they suddenly become human

The hatred within Scotland is best kept there.

Why not? Why continuously tell the world you are all hate-filled sectarian bigots?

good result for dumbarton,

the mighty ton are back on top of the league after beating falkirk
Good win for Morton , but a surprise win for Airdrie against Dunfermline. Dumbs are playing Airdrie next week ( weather permitting- its even been snowing down here )

I don't really understand this re-structuring of the leagues . How can they do this for next season, I'm sure it won't happen so soon .

Why? To borrow a phrase from Charles Green, what other league in Europe has a mechanism to allow teams from the fourth tier to jump two divisions?
The restructering means its not quite the same though.

I've never hid away from the fact that I have become 'fixated' with Rangers over the past while ... their actions deserve close scrutiny as they have treated every other Scottish club with contempt not to mention their actions within and without the SPL/SFA.

It's good to know you all go for a pint together ... try and publicise that fact a bit more to the rest of the world who are oblivious to such 'normal' activity.

Well done to Neil Lennon for saying what needed to be said - and with that we move on to the second half of this season.

Watching some old scottish football on youtube....all hail Albert Kidd

I wish I was alive for that....we'll never see those sort of days again in Scottish Football. Hearts take 10,000+ to Dens and lose the title.

Do you want me to take photos of what a sold out Easter Road looks like from the Hearts v ICT league cup semi?

Because it'll never happen again.

14-14-14 would see the third division this season rendered meaningless something that last week was outrageous.

Smells like Jabba.
