Think he will be our best target man since Hartson. We have needed a big guy upfront for a long time. What we need now is a top centre half.

He is tall and we now have someone to actually aim for in the box with a cross - can only be a good thing.

Not really keen on big target men. They tend to give defenders the easy way out and it often results in route one long balls.

Sometimes they are really useful, though. Especially against weak defences and also for certain games when your only hope is a break off one of their challenges.

Not ideal, I agree but when needs must

Actually, I'm not hearing rave reviews about this big man, however, Lennon mostly gets it right

According to SSN, Hearts are to signal their intent to go into administration. About time in my opinion! They'd be better off going the newco route & starting over

The biggest problems for Hearts is two fold from what I can see.

1) - The parent company are in the process of being liquidated, the liquidators will want as much money as possible from any of Hearts' assets. Hearts' biggest asset is the stadium (Which is not listed) and the land it sits on. Why would the UBIG liquidator take a penny in the pound CVA deal when there's a potential goldmine sitting there in the land itself? The club can play at Murrayfield and be reborn under a NewCo.

Tyncastle and it's land is the security for the UBIG debt! Asset sale is the only outcome.

2) - Hearts have zero cash. They haven't even been paying players or staff - there is no income stream for them to continue to operate from today until a date where a CVA can be presented (Whether that be tomorrow, next week, next month or November - they don't have any money).

No going concern? Asset sale is the only outcome.

There will be no successful CVA, it's liquidation.

The only offers I can see for Hearts will be from Tesco, Asda or Barret Homes

Lowland league beckons.

Biggest problem is that Ukio Bankas were owed £15m and had the stadium as security - while owning 29.9% of the company. Meanwhile UBIG were owed £10m and owned nearly 50% of the company.

saddened to hear the same bs on scotland tonight about Hearts - sense of deja vu from last summer.

Clubs who live beyond their means should be punished and if liquidated forfeit their place in that league.

That is the only way for long term credibility in the Scottish game.

Question if Hearts are liquidated as likely, will they have to apply to join the lowland league and one of these teams will make an immediate step up to division 3.

Everyone else up one, but we will have a situation where Dundee and Morton will be battling to get their SPL spot.

It would be tricky as Dundee came up this way last year, so would it be Morton, however in all honesty Hearts should have had a points deduction a few weeks ago which would have relegated them then

Honestly no one knows, the ground will be sold so that will leave them homeless and if I'm being honest I think anyone buying a season ticket is wasting their money.if they survive then newco beckons but not in the premier league.

I'd guess Hearts won't be liquidated, they'd have a major problem selling Tynecastle, as it would be politically suicidal for the council to allow flats/Tescos/whatever to be put there

Even aside from the football, if there were no Hearts, flat prices in Gorgie would go through the roof, it'd kill the area as it is now, as I think you'd quickly find no one working class could afford to live there.

The problem is it isn't Hearts call to sell the ground - the (defunct) bank own it. I think personally this will take months to sort out as you have all the goings on in Lithuania and until they are sorted out it really doesn't matter what happens over here ...

Personally I think it is another sad day for Scottish football as you have possibly the 2nd biggest SPL club going to the wall - this can't be good for our game yet the powers that be don't seem to be accountable for all that has happened during their watch ... and nobody is questioning them.

If Hearts go down the route of being Liquidated does that mean they would have to 'do A Rangers' and become a Newco and leave the Premier League and hopefully apply to become members of the SFL and start all over again in div 3 or would that go another club and which route will the FA go down if that was the case

I think a polite "go & fúčk yourself" would suffice

The next time I go to Tynecastle, I'll be pushing a shopping trolley.

I actually don't know what's funnier, the plea from Hearts or £12million for Wanyama
