14-14-14 would see the third division this season rendered meaningless something that last week was outrageous.

Smells like Jabba.
Wasn't Traynor and the Daily Record pushing this model a few months ago?

green proposes that we wait until end of next season before restructuring
that way clubs know that they are playing meaningless games before the season starts

he kinda has a point there imo
to be told midway through a season you are playing for no reason is a bit of kick in the baws for all clubs

saying that 14-14-14 isnt the way to go

but neither is the one green is in the huff about

we need a league where we play each team home and away with no stupid split
how feasible that is is anyones guess...only realistic way this could be achieved is to promote some junior teams or highland league team to the lower divisions to make the numbers up

Watching some old scottish football on youtube....all hail Albert Kidd

I wish I was alive for that....we'll never see those sort of days again in Scottish Football. Hearts take 10,000+ to Dens and lose the title.

The Jam Tarts attacked and we hit the post a young lad beside us he faints
Half time came soon and the score line was blank, but Celtic put four past the Saints
Oh surely to God we’ll keep Dundee out and brother just think if we did
We’d be the champions for the first time in years, but then up stepped Albert Kidd!!

there just isnt enough clubs to facilitate two 18-20 team leagues which conincidently would fast track Rangers to the SPL.

First home win of the season for Dumbarton. You never know we might just escape the drop. Three points adrift , but we games in hand
Dumbarton were excellent on saturday, Ian Murray has them well organised now, especially in defence. The goalkeeper (ewings) has especially improved, pulling off some great saves, the loan signing from Hibs (smith) played well and helped set up the 2nd goal, Partick Thistle eventually ran out of ideas in attack. Seen Dumbarton last week v Dunfermline and they were unlucky to lose, 2 crunch games for The Sons, next Sat v Airdrie away then Hamilton at home the following Sat. If they can win those 2 matches things look good.

Any examples of the 'hatred' you were suggesting yesterday?

cant see greens proposal coming to anything tbh it would look as though green was blackmailing scottish football to get his own way the only way forward is continue with the proposed setup for next year.no matter what set up we get its not going to suit everyone.

Its not going to suit everyone, but surely its not right that the rules have been changed midseason.

So that would be no then. No examples of any 'hatred' at all.

I didn't think there would be.

You have drunk the Kool Aid offered by Charlie Green it seems and now look for 'hatred', and no doubt 'enemies', where there isn't any.

I don't think we will ever get a situation where everyone is happy.

Like grps3 I want a league where we play home and away with no split but I also agree with bhoy07 when he says that we simply don't have the quality for a 20 team league.

We also need a situation where the league(s) can attract sponsors and have broadcasters willing to show matches.

It is really a no win situation.

I see 12-12-18 as a stepping stone to bigger leagues, we need to give it a chance. Need the 8-8-8 split to start on 0 points though.

I can see the point in the middle league of 8 being zeroed but not in the other 2 leagues.

Needs something to give all 8 clubs in the top split something to play for - either reset points to 0 or introduce CL/EL playoffs (places permitting).

8th this season is currently only 8 points behind second.

They could easily make up a gap like that.

There wouldn't be any sporting reason to have the points set back to 0 post split in the top 8 and bottom 8. Unless your saying effictively the first 22 matches are qualifying matches to play for the championship, and once you finish in the top 8 those matches don't count anymore!

The first 22 matches are in effect qualifying matches anyway. It could be structured so there is some form of prize money available at the 22 game point and from then on in it's about European places and the title.

Part of the problem is fans believing they'll never see their team in with a shout of winning the league.

splits are stupid

didnt the 7th place team last year or year before finish with more points than the team in 5th place

is there any other leagues that operate a split?

Still no 'hatred' examples then! I take it you were talking rubbish then.

Amyway, you know, I actually have some sympathy with sevco in regards league reconstruction. I have sympathy with all the third division clubs..

At the start of every season every club knows what they will get at the end of the season. Top of the league, a championship and promotion, where applicable. Finish bottom of the league and it is relegation.

To change the rules half way through is nonsense.

im sorry i didn't realise my purpose is to provide you with quotes...i stated the thread is full of hatred for rangers...its a fact and stated you could choose any page( well nearly any page) and find examples of this... your calling rangers 'sevco' continually only confirms this even more

maybe 'pacific shelf' supporters should start discussing their own team(just for a wee change)

sevco doesn't exist its 'the rangers football club ltd'
rangers then rangers now rangers forever

good to see my clubs value raising so much in 6 months too....green bought assets for around 5.5million and now they worth around £65 million and only going to go up
