Just wondering, why are Celtic playing a friendly on a Saturday after the Scottish league season has already begun?

Seems a bit silly to postpone a league game so Celtic can play a friendly game.

For money! The glamour friendlies are only available just before the main leagues start. When the Scottish League decided to start the season early (to assist with European games) they decided that this weekends fixtures could be postponed if the clubs had friendlies arranged. Rangers and Celtic both did it two years ago, Celtic last year and this.
It's not ideal but when money is tight such games are vital.
Incidentally, Celtic could have played a league game today with their first eleven as only two of Wednesday's starting line-up played in the win against Liverpool.

I seem to remember Hibs doing the same thing a couple of seasons ago.

Yeah we do it for money.

2011 we postponed a match to play Inter Milan and an Irish League XI in Ireland
2012 we done the same to play Real Madrid in America
2013 we done it again to play Liverpool in Ireland

We get paid a good amount to play in these games.
Mark.

3-5-2 doesn't work with a midfielder, pint-sized left-back and very mediocre centre-half making up the '3'.

As Dundee found out this afternoon at Palmerston.

Great performance from The Sons to draw with Falkirk after going a goal behind yesterday, some decent football was played. Falkirk didn't look anything special although their number 3 was a stand-out for them.

How much longer can Pat Fenlon last at Easter Road, without Griffiths they offer no threat at all in front of goal and after 2 league defeats and an embarrassing thumping from Malmo something has to give.

If I was a Hibees fan I'd be demanding change now to give the next manager time to get in some new faces before transfer window closes.

Well done Hearts they looked hungrier and more determined and this victory will give them a lot of confidence as they try to claw back the 15 point deduction.

Another good win by the Dandies this season could be a good one for us.

Any comment to make over the £200k the Rangers Charity Fund misappropriated/stole from charity?

Or that the new club spunked £30m to win Division 3 and are soon to be rooked again?

An average of just 24k watched Rangers on BT sport at the weekend.

Pathetic viewing figures for BT

Who are they?

Seriously though, given the reach of BT Sport it is a small amount of viewers.

Bhoy07, any idea if that figure includes folk who watched online?

Don't think so - it's a BARB figure.

Still feel bt will give in eventually and allow you to get the channel directly from sky.

Worrying result in the u21s as England u21s I thought were dire in that recent tournament
