Darren Fletcher ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to help his condition.

Quite hoping the snow holds off this weekend as I'm really looking forward to the Hibs v Dundee game, i've shamelessly not been to Easter Road much this season, mostly due to shift work but able to go next few weeks. Hibs trying to do some deals like under 11s for a fiver and Hibs-kids get to collect 1 free ticket from ticket desk. Hopefully be a half decent crowd as Dundee usually bring a good crowd.

With the boost of Griffiths and McGivern staying on until the end of the season and the news of signing Liam Craig on a pre-contract we have something to cheer about.

Dundee beat us at Dens so hoping we can give them a going over at ER, boost the goal difference and get back to winning ways, our last ER match was the victory against Celtic so on paper it looks a formality.

You can sense the pain of fans of a certain new SFL3 team from the southside of Glasgow.

Celtic will make around £5.5m from one match whilst they have to sell cut price season tickets to survive.

They can only dream of having crowds in excess of 57k shouting them on in European nights against the continents biggest clubs.

Scotland's biggest football league ground;
Scotland's highest attendances;
Scotland's highest average attendance;
Scotland's highest income.

Celtic, the only show in town.

The £30m warchest will stand them in good stead in the Blue Square Northern.

Mark McGhee to be Gordon Strachan's sidekick at Scotland. What an absolutely depressing appointment. What the hell has he did previously to warrant this? Strachan's a very good manager, but him? Jesus Wept! A proven failure, just what Scotland needs, eh? Stinks like an old sock of jobs for the boys.

Neil Lennon confirms Norwich's bid for Hooper has been rejected and was way below the clubs valuation.

Good signing for Hearts. Would like to see how he does without Weir beside him though

The hiring policy seems to be to appoint anyone Scottish who has recently failed at club level and is so down on their luck that they'll actually take the job.

Strachan was a dreadful appointment as it is - one that absolutely reeks of being afraid to think outside the box for fear of criticism. To make McGhee his assistant - a manager who was heading straight for enforced retirement - is just ridiculous.

Ivan Sproule, who's that unknown gem Ross County have signed! Looks half decent.

Surely not the same Sproule who was a waste of a shirt at his second spell at Hibernian.
