Surely the president of UEFA should be seen to be neutral. If it was Joe Punter it would be a different matter.
If his saying he hopes Juventus win then that would be wrong. I don't see a problem with him saying who he thinks will win in any of the ties.

and who cares what platini says ..... obviously he's gonna support one of his old teams, but as usual the media put in the word SENSATIONALLY into the first sentence ..... a load of old cauliflower

Michel Platini seems to have written off Celtic v Juve. He is quoted as saying, “After being drawn against Celtic we can already consider Juve to be in the quarter-finals. Juventus will count themselves very fortunate".

Whatever you think of Celtic, surely the president of UEFA shouldn't be saying things like this?
Bit of a daft thing to say but nothing untoward in it

If a random poster on a forum says Rangers are new club, then they must be, no matter how much the governing bodies say otherwise
The Rangers CEO, and I think largest shareholder, admitted that they are a new club who lost their history when the CVA never went through.

As for Platini, it could be his 'ITV' moment but I severely doubt it. Celtic are massive underdogs to go through and we would have been the team most of the group winners would have wanted, regardless of the win over Barcelona. You can currently get odds of over 4/1 for Celtic to beat Juventus at home.

All the best to Andrew Considine who broke his leg yesterday. I heard the snap from the back of the Bobby Cox.

For the morbidly curious, the SPL YouTube channel has a video where you can see (and hear) it...

It is very important, the media and guys like Green are attempting to convince us that this club is the old club. Yet it is not. The truth is always important and when lies are told they should always be confronted and corrected.
It is the old club. The freemasons control the club and the Scottish government is in on it. Well done to them I say.

I think relegation from the bottom league and promotion from non leagues would be good as it gives the non league teams with ambition the chance too improve.

I think it's great that most people don't really care anymore. In all honesty, I think Rangers have been punished enough and most genuine supporters feel the same way - I think

I just wish they would do what they promised, accept their punishment and get on with it. Instead, Green seems intent on whipping up more hatred and fury amongst his own support against everyone in the world.

Signs for the future don't look great the way things are going. If there was a dramatic show of dignity from within Ibrox the sentiments would be acknowledged by others tenfold. Looks like we are all awaiting the hatred to continue in a year or so when they return to the SPL.

They are missed, the OF games are sorely missed and if Celtic were not in the last 16 of the CL I presume they would miss them a lot more than they are at present.

StoneCold, it's time for you to take over at Rangers mate. You may not want to but your fifteen years of fame is well overdue

For a club that doesn't care what others think it appears Celtic's year in review has ruffled a few feathers.

Not that i dont think that celtics obsession with Rangers is laughable, the sly digs in their review of the year etc.

But to clarify, can you link me to whos feathers are ruffled?

I knew nothing about it until you mentioned it, and i have had a search around a few well known sites for people bemoaning it, but can find nothing

Nothing wrong with calling it the way it is.

All Celtic did was agree with Chuckles who said that the history was lost when a CVA wasn't agreed.

Just wished a The Rangers fan a Happy New Year. They told me 2013 wasn't a new year, just a continuation of 2012.

Missed by who? I don't miss the OF games at all. When Man City were relegated there was no media outcry of how the game between Man City v Man Utd would be missed and how English football needs the game etc etc.

Its absurd that the media in scotland still talks about the old firm game and how its missed etc etc.

I don't read anything by the Scottish media. It was just a thought and presumption that Celtic fans may have missed the anticipation of an OF game had they not done so well in the CL. Obviously I am wrong but it was just an assumption - you don't need to be so aggressive ffs

Celtic fans are a funny bunch. Things could scarcely be better for them. They won the league, are top of the league, are doing well in Europe and they say Rangers are dead. But they still seem an awful grumpy lot.

No problem, mate

I'll be cheering on the Hoops against Juve no matter what. Let's face it, I'll get more enjoyment from that than I ever will watching QPR
