Well, it is what they are at the moment.
An easy win for Dundee (utd lol), as it should be.

OK mate. But the "utd LOL" in brackets sounded more as if you were having to make a pernickety addition rather than your previous uses of "Dundee" referring to a totally different football team.

This game pretty much shows why Rangers are better off in the Third Division. It would be far harder for their fans to have to deal with being routinely beaten by SPL sides - instead of winning a series of pointless games against Third Division teams.

Rangers bought players to get them through div 2, that's when their transfer ban expires, they knew they were in Div 3 before the last transfer window closed.

If they had been told they were to be in spl then they would have bought in players to compete at that level.

Not that they havent got some decent players at the moment, they do, but they dont have a whole team capable of challenging anyone in the SPL, it would be a waste of money of they did.

Interesting game told us a lot better style from United more football played with a front three of Daly, Russell and Mackay-Steven. What do the latter two have to do to get in Scotland squad, presumably sign for a championship side.

Regarding Rangers they looked pretty poor against an experienced SPL side. I would say the current Rangers squad is probably middle table 1st division in relation to quality of player

There's some small truth to that, but there's certainly no way they would have been competing at the level they're used to in the SPL. They might not have been getting thumped every week, but they'd lose games frequently and wouldn't be anywhere near the title.

In the Third Division they can go through the season winning almost every game and the full reality of how far they've fallen isn't staring them in the face to the same extent.

In recent years Dundee United players cant get into the Scotland squad. Simple as that. Playing week in week out for a fairly attacking side in Scotland doesnt seem to stack up to being a reserve in the English lower leagues.....

That was so f*ckin easy. We absolutely strolled it. Johnny Russell gets the fastest goal in Scottish cup history.

Bonus points for the ET stand singing 'Zombie' by The Cranberries.

If you could pick a player to get sent off it would be Ian Black!

All the McNamara songs are novelty dances, the conga, the hokey cokey, and the macarena.

Their performances in Europe contributes to their non selection.

A huge amount of English based players named in that squad named the other day are not actually getting games.

Did hear correctly that Kris Burke was named on the basis that he had a couple of good games in the Europa League 16months ago

Ian Black gives third division footballers a bad name, its too high a level for him even the juniors wouldn't want a that thug

Also highlighted today was the reason no third division player should be in the Scotland squad, an embarrassing situation that we have a guy from the lowest division while two of the best players in the SPL are left out

Was the ill discipline of Scotland's shame as bad as I heard it was?

Sorry don't mean to be disrespectful but I despise Rangers/the Rangers. Always have done.

Naismith's challenge was awful, Ian Black was just, well, Ian Black.

Best bit about today was the utter hilarity United fans (and others I'm sure) got from the game, Twitter and Facebook were full of hilarious posts, this was one of my favourites:

Quote:
“"I didn't see that Ian Black red card coming" says Ally McCoi...Jackie Mc...sorry, no-one. No-one said that.”

That Goncalves looks a real find for St Mirren, with a bit better finishing he could easily have had 5 today.
