Celtic fans are a funny bunch. Things could scarcely be better for them. They won the league, are top of the league, are doing well in Europe and they say Rangers are dead. But they still seem an awful grumpy lot.
I tend to agree with you Callum.

For fear of offending anyone I wish you all a Happy Hogmany - excuse the spelling.

However, it is meant with sincerity, if that helps excuse my ignorance

They're tomorrow, because 2 January is a holiday here.

NYD is (sort of) like Christmas Day, with the 2nd being Boxing Day.

Happy new year folks!

Noticed McCoist was lampooned by Watson, in fact the Rangers stuff was very mild compared to previous years.

Overall another poor effort by Watson, think it's time that the likes of Paul Reid got given that gig.

I've just watched it on iPlayer and thought it was better than the efforts of the last few years, not that that is really saying much. I thought that Gangnam Style, BBC Alba and 50 Shades Of Brown were the best sketches.

The lack of pubic transport on New Years Day is a pain in the arse. Up here First used to run services on Christmas Day and New Years Day and they were well used. Now there is no service at all from them or Stagecoach. It meant I had a 2 hour walk this morning as I refuse to pay £45 for a taxi home.

Oh, and I'd just like to say Happy New Year.

Public transport, not pubic transport.

Happy new year all......recorded the BBC1 programmes through from Still Game, OaE, Jackie Bird at the bells and Chewin' the fat so that's my "onesie" day whilst updating the rest of the tables.......

SPL/Scottish cup tables definitely updated tomorrow.

Wee bit of controvsery at CP - Kelvin Wilson's fresh air swipe fails to connect to anything, Murphy falls to the ground so ref awards penalty - Booked Wanyama for complaining, then Forster for pointing out the ball was not on the spot. Forster saves pen taken 11.5 yards from goal.

Hooper now scored 1-0 Celtic

Looks like anoither amazing result for Dumbarton . 3-0 up at top of the table Morton. With games in hand and in good form , we might not even get relegated .

Ian Murray is doing a great job as Dumbarton manager, scoring goals now aswell. 4-3 away to Falkirk and a 3-0 romp away at the league leaders. Tight tussle at the top of division 1.

Some very healthy crowds today aswell....

5,000+ at St Johnstone
13,000+ at Pittodrie
6,347 at St Mirren - that's a great crowd for St Mirren v Kilmarnock

Just under 6,000 at EEP for Dunfermline v Raith.

Whilst I was looking for a stream for Celtic v Motherwell I found one for Aberdeen v Dundee United. There looked a really good away support there today.

Dumbarton are a major club in my estimation. I don't get to watch them apart from the odd game when I'm in Scotland, but as a kid in the school holidays I was a regular . My granddad was a director and my uncle and cousin played for them. Really pleased about the result today

well that was an embarassing result, we just didnt show up and stupid mistakes let dumbarton score, they werent even in the game for the most part.

still top of the league but need to improve, dissapointed that we do the hard work against thistle and dunfermline but cant beat that wee team across the water

I will have to try to get a look at some clips of the game. No worries, Morton are still on track .

With the penalty miss at Celtic Park it just shows the fine margins.....Well go 1-0 up and they close within 3 points of Celtic, now they are 6 adrift. It's always been Celtic's league but Caley have lost less games than Celtic and scored more goals. I think there has been too many draws and that's where Celtic have capitalised.

Biggest derby in the SPL tomorrow......game under the lights! Kind of contemplating going to Tynie to try get a ticket at the stadium. Last time we won at Tynie was under the lights. 1-0 when Mixu was manager. The game that Hearts disgraced scottish football when the fans came on the pitch to attack Riordan and Mixu had to get a police escort down the tunnel!
