Interesting development on when quarter finals of scottish cup may kick off.

ESPN have pencilled in Rangers v East Stirling live on 12noon on 02/03. Therefore its very unlikely police will sanction St Mirren v Celtic kicking off at 1245 same day.

Meaning that St Mirren V Celtic will have to be the Sunday something that will not please them with the Juve return the following Wednesday

Well a rubber should just be taken to such pencilling in. A 3rd division match should not be allowed to have such ramificafions !

In fairness to the schedulers, Sunday-Wednesday is fairly normal, and substantially no different to Saturday-Tuesday - especially if Celtic were to kick-off at lunchtime.

As the only scottish team left celtic should be given as much time to prepare as possible it helps every scottish side with the co efficient.

A possible way forward is to postpone every domestic match Celtic are involved in until after their 2nd leg against Juventus!

Oh hang on, if the Scottish FA or the SPL are reading this, that may actually happen!

But the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United have played league games Sunday then champions league games Wednesday for years and its fine.

Your response will be Celtic's response if as likely it seems the game is scheduled for the Sunday

Is english football in the same state as our game is? Or will you be one of the fans who complains when we have only one team representing scotland in europe?

Why aren't you demanding that your game on Saturday be postponed or moved to Friday?

Because a friday night celtic game will never happen due to the amount of extra police required and a postponment would meen another midweek match squezed in saturdays perfect gives the squad enough time to fly out and prepare dnt you want scottish teams doing well in europe or is it because your team will never get by the qualifiers?

But there is no difference between Saturday-Tuesday (3 days) compared to Sunday-Wednesday (also 3 days.)

Don't want to disillusion you. But, of course, many Scots do not want Celtic and / or Rangers to do well in Europe, and sod the coefficient.

Why the hoohaa - we'll play anyone anywhere on any date - with the exception of the SC final should we reach Wembley.

Have espn not got a contract to show a certain amount of the rangers games this season? Though I agree it doesn't exactly set the heather alight watching this game

Exactly. Quite how that can be spun into me not wanting teams to do well in Europe is anyone's guess.

any club in europe should be given as much time to prepare for a tie as possible being if its a qualifier for the europa leauge or champions leaugue last 16 if a club can get an extra day to prepare it would be better for our game in a whole.

I do agree if possible Celtic should be given as much time to -prepare as is feasibly possible, but only if it involves minimal disturbance to other matches.

Any scottish team winning in europe is great for all of scottish football, (as much as it pains me to say )
