I knew we were going to slip up as I said above, the law of averages really 5 great games in a row in the League will almost always end in a slip up in the 6th game.

Hardly a major surprise though, a 1-1 away draw to St Johnstone

A disappointing result overall tonight. First half Celtic played well but we seemed to switch off in the second half and defended deeper and deeper. The support were not happy with Lassad tonight, I can't believe that Stokes only got on for 10 minutes.

A cracking equaliser by Hasselbaink.

Fair play to the St Johnstone Ultras in the stand opposite the main stand. Only about 20 of them but they tried to get an atmosphere going. Just a pity that one of them got huckled for making Nazi salutes.

Partick win one of their games in hand to close the gap to 5 points, did expect them to win their home game in hand but they have two tough trips to Fife for games against Cowdenbeath and Raith Rovers, cant see them winning both

Judging by what Lennon was saying pre-match it seemed touch and go as to whether Stokes would even play any part in the match after the death of his pal.

One last throw of the proverbial dice, I suppose. Two wins against St Mirren, meaning three more wins when St Mirren lose and we're level (on points at least).

Who says football fans aren't optimistic...

I'm torn about Smith going. He's been a great servant, but was out of his depth in the SPL. But we should maybe have given him a chance in the First Division next season.

I'd be happy with Calderwood. He's got a better track record than most give him credit for.

William Collum and Craig Thomson have been appointed to matches in the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Both officials have been involved in matches throughout the group stages, and will be in action again on Wednesday as this season's competition continues to the knock-out phase.

Collum will travel to Istanbul as Galatasaray host German side Schalke. Thomson will be in Italy as two of the Champions League's most successful clubs, AC Milan and Barcelona, meet at the San Siro.

How the hell did this lot get these gigs for the night, I'll never know!

I'll bet the red cards will be flying all over the place tonight, & its the refs, were all talking about & not the football !!!

just seen the viewing figures for spl sides.

Needless to say Celtic appear to be the viewers choice for uk fans - even beating the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea during CL games.

I think a lot of people in England with Irish roots see Celtic as the cuddly toy of European football.

You're probably right Jill but it's not a bad thing is it? We all need a bit of escapism from the drudgery of watching Man U, Barca et al cake-walking it every year. Well, it's no real drudgery watching Barca

Another game, another howler from Craig Thomson, only this time it's the Champions League against Barca.

what howler? there was no handball by a Milan player in the lead up to their first goal, clearly hit him on the face. if anything it was handball by Alba

i hate craig thomson for an incident at Hamilton many years ago but thought he had a decent game tonight

If the club at number 20 had declared their "real" SPL attendances they'd be lucky to have made the Top 30 pop-pickers.

Sound like Hearts have come up trumps for anyone who had them for the "1st SPL team to be goosed season 2012-13" - you might have to wait until the end of the season to pick your prize up though.

I think Sportsound is summing up what's wrong in the media.

on Monday there was no sportsound because they were on strike due to redundancies yet today Alasdair Lamont swans off to Switzerland to speak to people about the 12-12-18 which is providing nothing new to when stv spoke to the Swiss a few months ago.

Think you will find all clubs true attendances are different to what they say in the paper. Yes, this does include Rangers.

Celtic's average crowd, so far, in Europe season this year:- 56348.
The Rangers average crowd in Europe this season:- 0

The only show in town.

Thomas Rogne is leaving Celtic at the end of the season.

As decent player on his day but far too injury prone.
