Celtic statement:
Following yesterday´s SPL Commission decision, we have been inundated with requests for the Club to make its position clear: Celtic FC has today made the following statement: We note yesterday´s decision that Rangers FC has been found guilty of contravening the SPL rules on disclosure of payments over 11 years between 2000-2011. The scale of this amounts to a deliberate non-disclosure of £47 million in payments to players and staff. We also note the penalty of £250,000 which has been imposed. Like many within Scottish football, including supporters and other observers, we are surprised by the parallel conclusion that no competitive advantage was gained from these arrangements. However, the implications of this verdict are for the Scottish football authorities to address since the rules breached were specifically intended to defend "sporting integrity". Throughout this matter, Celtic has refrained from comment on the affairs of Rangers FC while the various tribunals and commissions went about their work. We will continue to concentrate on our own affairs, and assure our supporters that at all times we will operate within both the rules of our governing bodies and the law of the land. Our Club is in a great place at the moment and we are enjoying a fantastic season, maintaining our position at the top of Scottish football and enjoying huge success and profile across European football. We ask our fans to unite with us once again as we look ahead to the rest of the season, to the Scottish Cup on Saturday, to the UEFA Champions League next week and to an exciting future with a young squad of high quality players and a talented manager in Neil Lennon. Our fans have been magnificent this season, home and away, and as we head towards the end of the season, now, more than ever, we need our fans to be with us and to back the team and the Club. We sincerely thank our fans for their continued support. |

Remember their claim that it was ludicrous they would be against their own fans?? Why were season cards turned off for one game for a load of GB after the Juve match?? |

Again, is there a reference to support that?
The brand may be an asset, but not the club as a whole which is the company. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSur-5EaPVs |

Rangers FC weren't found guilty of anything. No payments were ruled to be illicit. There was no punishment of the club.
The company that used to run the club was fined for not producing requested information. (Though it's worth remembering that the EBT scheme was in the company's published accounts which were submitted to the football governing bodies.) Lord Nimmo Smith et al also state that the club goes on, now run by a new company (or "newco"). |

Why are Sevco in the 3rd Division if they are actually Rangers? So what exactly is the Club? Invisible Asset FC Facts are simple: 1. Rangers snuffed it 2. Rangers sold their assets to Sevco 3. Sevco applied to take Rangers place in SPL 4. SPL laughed in Sevco's faces 5. Sevco applied to join the SFL 6. SFL allowed Sevco to join provided they got a Footballing License from the SFA 7. SFA gave Sevco a conditional license because Sevco didnt meet the requirements to get a full license as they were only weeks old and didnt have 3 years accounting history. 8. Sevco joined the 3rd Division. There's yer dinner! ![]() May I add Sevco's official name to the SFA is The Rangers FC because Rangers the originals had already used the name Rangers FC. This is why at the start of the season everyone was calling Sevco 'The Rangers FC' and some places still do. |

And a wee shot across the bows to sevco from the biggest club in the land, the current league champions, Celtic. A one year sponsorship deal with Blackthorns then. Is that it? And was the value of the Puma deal revealed? Oh dear. |

Better contact Lord Nimmo Smith and his esteemed legal colleagues and tell them that some Celtic fans on the internet know better than they do.

![]() It was Rangers. Why was it Rangers? Because it was Rangers who broke the rules. Only SFA Registered Football Clubs are members of the SPL not just Companies for a Company to be a member it has to be a Registered Football Club and who was the Registered Club punished? Rangers. McDonalds couldnt just join the SPL theyd have to get a License for McDonalds FC off the SFA and work their way up or they could buy an SPL Club and change their name to McDonalds FC. |

Like I said, it was the old company that was punished. The club were not punished. Read the ruling by Lord Nimmo Smith et al if you don't believe me.

It was actually the Oldco - they are liable for the £250,000 fine which makes this witch hunt all the more shallow ... but chin up maybe you can get a result against Juventus during the week and everything will be just fine once again in your little acre of paradise ....
![]() OldCo - Old Company NewCo - New Company I mean it isn't exactly rocket science old bean. ![]() The SFA or SPL or UEFA or FIFA have no jurisdiction to fine Companies that own Football Clubs. They can only issue fines to Member Clubs(who have to be companies themselves). http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resource...%20%282%29.pdf I quote: The Licence Applicant may only be a football club, that is the legal entity and Clubs failing to comply with the requirements of the Club Licensing Procedures shall be liable to a fine, to a suspension, to an expulsion, or such other sanctions as are provided for in the Judicial Panel Protocol Only Clubs can get a Football License and only Clubs can be punished. The fact that "oldco" as you call them, Rangers to me were fined is of course what should have happened because "oldco" are Rangers FC 1872-2012 and the Club who cheated. Sevco have as little to do with Rangers as Celtic did. |

Got my tickets for Killie away tomorrow, really looking forward to it! Love an away game! Ticket was cheaper than the SPL game between the sides just 3 days ago. I'd like to think we'd get job done in 90 mins in Kilmarnock but can see a replay being needed. Would be brilliant to get to Hampden again!
