I'm amazed that supporters of The Rangers, Rangers or whatever else they now call themselves see any victory in all of this. Surely if they had complied with everyone and this was to be the outcome, coupled with the tax case win they should probably still be in the SPL?

Personally, I think it's hilarious they are now plying their trade in Division 3

One more minor point, if no fine can be collected from Oldco then Oldco own the titles anyway - not The Rangers?

Rangers and their fans refuse to believe they have done anything wrong. Hence them thinking they have won. It's all quite pathetic really, then no surprise is it!?

This is the club that took years to cooperate with HMRC and months to cooperate with the commission and yet complain about the time it's taken.

Is it really Rangers 0-1 East Stirling?

Celtic game quite good, shambolic defending for all 3 goals.

not that you can blame the dunfermline players but it would appear they have gone on strike on the pitch against Partick today.

wow spl accounts are available

i know i said id laugh , but didnt think they would be as bad

nice line from directors report sure to wind people up in here

' following end of season 2011/2012 Rangers FC was sold by Rangers Football Club Plc (in administration) to Sevco Scotland Limited'

yes you read right, the football club IS a separate entity from the business

other highlight include doncaster wage being the only thing that has increased
and tv revenue will go up within 5 years ( when we get back up)

I'm not sure if it's a "victory" but surely no-one is surprised that Rangers fans are happy that the club was not found guilty of anything by the SPL commission and no titles were removed? Rangers still have 54 titles. Some folk may not like that, but too bad.

(All that happened was the old company was fined for not producing additional documents, something which did not give any advantage to the team on the field - especially when you remember that the payments themselves were not found to be illicit.)

Time to move on I hope. Another OK win for the Gers today. Not perfect of course but it'll do for now. Onwards and upwards!

I'd like it if they were stuck in one of the lower leagues for a few million years - strictly for evolution purposes

TV deal will have increased over the next 5 years by 25% - Loss of £200k for last season.

Other things to note is the extra money that the SPL will get from Celtic's fine CL run this season that wasn't there last year - that's around £1-1.5m

No - Celtic games are getting more viewers than anyone else - so I imagine it'll be an incremental rise over the 5 years - when Sky offered the £120m tv deal a few years ago that's how it was offered, increments over 5 years.

New agreements were negotiated with Sky Sports and ESPN which are expected to provide an increase in revenues from domestic live television broadcasting of 25% over the next five years."

how can they even think that when they plan to reconstruct , its like me saying when i get a job im gonna earn 100k a year

quote from report

The tough economic climate within which the Company has operated in recent years looks likely to continue for some time. This is exacerbated by the absence of Rangers FC from the from the League competition for several Seasons ahead.

this report is way worse than i expected , you lucky you still have league to play in

can you link me to viewing figures... i cant find them

I actually think the SPL does have serious financial issues, but I don't really understand how a Rangers fan can gloat about it. The other SPL sides are innocent victims in all this. The only fair thing to do was have Rangers start again as a new club/entity/team/business (I couldn't care less what you call it) from the Third Division. However that deprives every SPL club of revenue that they'd budgeted for. It's no surprise there are now financial issues.

Rather than gloating, Rangers should actually be apologising.

There's been an enormous amount of gloating aimed at Rangers. Nobody should be too surprised or outraged if some Rangers fans want to dish out some of their own. The truth is Rangers have suffered from bad owners. Sadly, that has happened to quite a few other clubs too, just to put things in perspective. It's happening to Hearts. It happened to Celtic at one time. And so on. In addition the overall financial health of the game is poor. This is not the fault of any single club.

Any of the Rangers fans here heard anything about a Rangers Legends V Man Utd Legends game in the offing?

Obviously that has some interest for me!

Was actually at the Milan Legends game last year and it was a good game.

If it comes off would Bardsley and Martin play a half for each team?
