The guy is a total clown!!! He really is stupid.

As for Traynor, his picking up a six figure salary and as usual showing what an clueless idiot he is!!

Quote:
“RANGERS chief Charles Green’s trusted moneyman secretly texted ex-Ibrox owner Craig Whyte last summer to request funds for the club’s takeover, it was claimed last night.

Imran Ahmad asked the shamed tycoon for a payment of £137,500 to push the deal through during an chummy SMS exchange in May 2012.

In one text sent at the height of the Gers takeover saga, Ahmad calls him “mate” before apparently asking for the money to be transferred to his MUM’S account.
Whyte, 42, claims he has phone messages confirming the transaction — and Ahmad’s mother’s bank details.
Last night one source said: “If this is true it just gets murkier and murkier.”

The latest revelations appear to show a cosy relationship between Green’s team and Whyte as the Yorkshire businessman tried to buy stricken Rangers last summer.
One text from Ahmad appears to suggest he was waiting for the deposit — to help fund an exclusivity payment guaranteeing Green as administrator Duff and Phelps’ preferred bidder for the club.

It reads: “Nothing received this morning mate.”
And a message dated May 12 from Ahmad to Whyte shows what is said to be the bank details of the powerbroker’s mother.

It’s followed by a further text four days later which says: “£137.5 received with thanks.”

A Letter before Claim legal document sent by Whyte to Green and the England-based financier reads: “Craig Whyte is in possession of a text from Imran Ahmad dated 12th May, 2012, providing the bank account details of Imran Ahmad’s mother.”

Another passage in the papers — which set out the Monaco-based businessman’s latest allegations — states: “Craig Whyte is in possession of a text from Imran Ahmad dated 16th May, 2012, confirming receipt of the £137.5K.”

Last night Rangers confirmed the cash WAS paid into Ahmad’s mother’s account — so Green’s consortium could shield their dealings with Whyte as they attempted to keep him onside while they tried to buy his shares.
A club spokesman said: “Imran Ahmad paid the £200,000 exclusivity fee himself. This amount was paid well in advance of any money ever appearing from Craig Whyte.

“The £137,500 dropped into the account of Mr Ahmad’s mother because no one involved in the takeover wanted any of the disgraced former owner’s money to go near the business account. He could never again be involved or associated with the club.”

The spokesman said Whyte’s payment was made at a time when Rangers could have been saved from liquidation by a CVA agreement — meaning Green would have needed Whyte’s shares to buy the club.”

Are The Rangers fans really going to believe the excuses Green is coming out with? Using Ahmad's mums account lol. Th gift just keeps on giving!!

Here's SPLstats' take on the post-split fixtures.

I wouldn't be unhappy with an extra trip to Hibs. I like Easter Road.

Well done to Queen of the South winning the Ramsdens Cup after a 6-5 penalty shootout win over Partick.

the first 90 minutes were boring, extra time and it suddenly livened up, with Queens taking the lead, Lee Robinson saving a late penalty from Aaron Muirhead who then got sent off for headbutting the Queens captain. Kris Doolan then snatched an equaliser for Thistle. Robinson was the hero of the shootout saving two and scoring one.

For a guy that was a bombscare in goal at Morton he has turned into a good goalkeeper for Queens and was the deserving man of the match

"My **** friend" and 'Darkie' Johnson!

It is like characters from a 1970s ITV 'sitcom'.

Is Jabba back from Australia yet?

Never saw the whole match but the extra time and penalties were great.

I thought the referee was rather lenient with Robinson in the penalty shootout.

I was at the FAC demo yesterday. A great turnout from all concerned and a couple of good speakers. Unsurprisingly the police stayed well away from it.

think he had booked him earlier for time wasting so let him go with warnings as he didnt want to send him off, though Crawford Allan is a terrible referee so that probably played a part as well

St Mirren decide they dont like the 8-8-8 split after all and will vote against reconstruction.

Rumour has it the delay is because Celtic aren't happy, for two reasons: 1) Being sent to the Highlands twice; 2) They want three home games.

Just a rumour, mind.

The alternative is really to do nothing, though. The 16 team league idea has so little support it's not even on the agenda - rightly so in my opinion as it's unworkable nonsense. The two genuine attempts to reform the league - the 10/10 SPL/SPL2 idea and this one - have both been shot down, so the reality is we're not going to change anything.

i was shot down for few months ago when i proposed a 20 team premier league

now it seems most fans in scotland voted and agreed with me.

So basically it seems we are staying as we are leagues wise? Nothing changing? Game still in a bit of a hole up here so it would seem

To have a 20 team league you would need at least 25+ potential top sides and Scotland has nowhere near that amount. It just wouldn't work.

Fans supporting it doesn't make it any better an idea, to be honest. A 20 team league would be a farce in a country like Scotland.

We need to get away from this idea that football is a democracy and that what the fans want should be sacrosanct - other sports (e.g. American sports) are essentially run by a single person (a "Commissioner of baseball" etc.) and they're much better for it. When you invest authority in one person you can make strong decisions and we wouldn't have any mildly controversial idea getting abandoned because it can't pass an 11-1 majority vote.

There wasnt the support for a 14 team league when Celtic said it would support it so if RC and St Mirre vote no what next?

SPL2 should be a non starter.

Absolutely - at least in the 8-8-8 system you have similarly matched teams and meaningful fixtures. It's not a perfect solution, but there's some logic behind it. A simplified structure would be good, but if there was one that worked we'd be using it already. The only reason we end up with these left-field proposals is that none of the simple ideas are workable.

I also find there's a bit of a knee-jerk reaction against anything that isn't straightforward in Scottish football. Fans originally greeted the top six split like it was the biggest farce in the history of football, but it's actually more or less worked - as the United/Aberdeen game showed on Saturday. That's a good example of a more complicated system being an improvement on the simple one (i.e. a 22 game or 44 game season).

St Mirren saying they've always supported a 14 team (6/8 split) SPL.

Dundee CEO live on RS criticising Stewart Gilmour who is also live on RS - this could be dynamite.

8-8-8 is needed because when FFP comes in it will kill off the 1st division if nothing changes according to Scott Gardiner.

Not a surprise considering they're 11th in the SPL at the moment. Adding an extra two teams to give them a buffer against relegation would be very useful for St Mirren, but it doesn't do much for anyone else.

Funnily enough that's roughly what Gardiner said - although his was along the lines of having a weak SFL1 team being promoted and cut adrift at the foot of the SPL.

Have Celtic ever had 20 home games in a 38 game SPL season?

I want a 20 team, 38 game league season but I know that we don't have the quality for that.

It is about counterbalancing numbers against quality and we don't do very well.
