Like Dunfermline who are an SFL1 club?
Who are already in administration - how is this change for next season going to save them??

dunfermlines troubles would not have been solved by these proposals though

anyway was it yourself that asked why charles green was at st mirren park? i guess the result of the vote will give you your answer

No, it wouldn't but extra cash pushed into SFL1 would help the situation.

According to Stewart Gilmour their meeting was to discuss players, reconstruction was not mentioned at all.

Sorry but the absurd middle 8 points restarting was just the daftest thing about this whole idea! It is after all supposed to be a league system.

How can it be a league where hard-earned points are discarded?

For that matter, I've never understood why the top 6 teams in the present split retain their top six places. The split was introduced to make up the number of games. Effectively the important placings are decided after 33 rather than 38 games.

It just seems daft that the seventh team can have many more points than the sixth.

Can anyone tell me how the final League tables were presented when the Austrians tried (and then discarded) their similar-ish system?

Peter LieWell must still be lying down in a darkened room, having his brow mopped by Rod Petrie, et al. Well done St Mirren & Ross County for rejecting this crap.

Isn't this because the 6th best team (after 33 games) is playing the 1st-5th best teams therefore having a more difficult fixture list, than the 7th best team having the 8th-12th best teams and therefore an easier fixture list.

Imagine the final table where 4th-7th were split by 2 points after 32 games. 4th might try and lose to finish 7th, have easier fixtures, to eventually finish 4th. No one wants that.

when milne said st mirren was putting scottish football at risk....did he really mean his own club...

i think so, way he reacted was way OTT, i think his outburst was based on his own ' selfish interests'

I understood that Ross County abstained, rather than cast a vote.

So the SPL was 'corrupt' when Rangers were winning titles in it? I'm surprised you would want titles from a corrupt organisation.

Still, it is good to see some fans of the tribute act posting on here. Was strange how quiet you were when Chuckles links with Whytey and Chuckles racist comments were being discussed though.

Exactly, but the final five fixtures should have then been made up with say, for a top 6 team, 2 fixtures against top 6 teams and three fixtures against bottom six etc.

There would be no point in having a split if 5 more fixtures against random teams were added.

your own club and milne voted against the voting structure changes recently ...its all coming to bite you all in the arse

The SPL tv deal is still in place and will run for the next 4 years.

There will be no SPL2 for your club to be invited to.

The kind of response you'd expect.

if you wish discuss some guy calling his a friend a shortened version of his country then make a thread on it...

Of course there are no other connotations attached to the use of that word.

What shares did Chuckles buy from Whyte?

Somebody phone grps3 a whammmbulance.

If it is such a shitty league you won't be wanting to play in it again, will you?

and im down in div 3 laughing
But the think is, you're not. You support is already bored of your teams languid performances and teams upping the ticket prices when you play away from home.

hope when CG inevitably gets invited to join SPL2 he tells them to ram it
Yes, because the corporate investors in The Rangers International Football Club are going to allow to happen if SPL2 happens. Are you really that naive?

Tell us the sponsors who were "lined up" for the 12-12-18 set up then

Judging by your home crowds the same rule applies even more so.

Okay! I'll take the bait!!

Your club went bust last year! You didn't get voted OUT, you got voted IN without proper accounts and without going through proper procedures.

Everything that has happened to your club has happened because the supporters don't ask the right questions of the people running your club. You just seem to accept any old rubbish fed to you! (I give you Craig Whyte - billionaire with wealth off the radar )

Do yourself and everybody else a favour - wake up, smell the coffee, and stop being taken in by people spouting your catchphrases!

The thing I don't get is why are people moaning about the Buddies and the Staggies when 80% of football fans didn't want the ridiculous idea

Milne was saying how Gilmour was looking after his own interests. Why don't we have a bigger league like the majority of fans want? Yeah that's right, because your club will have to split money further!

Who's looking after their own interests now?

Does it?

We are still averaging more than The Rangers even when those you don't turn up, but have paid for a ticket, are included.

They can't help it, they are completely servile.

Losing £1 mil a month and laughing. Life must be good. SPL2 lol, good luck with that.

I am content with Craig Whyte doing what he does best and seeing the zombies as usual lap up whatever some clown tells them.

Murray, Whyte, Green. You'll never learn. The pope could turn up at Ibroke and tell the gullible that Rangers were going to tie up with NY Yankees, NY Giants, LA Lakers with Nike paying £20 mil year to make shirts and the zombies would somehow believe it.
