Wanyama, Forster, Samaras and Tony Watt were the winners at last nights Champions POTY awards.

The unconscious comedian Kenny 'David Brent' Shiels was unavailable to comment.

Why would he leave a guaranteed championship every year for the foreseeable future?

Boredom, if not that, his shite defence will see him off. On a positive note he's been nominated among manager of the year, so no more tantrums for a wee while. Dumbarton's Ian Murray for me.

Good luck to anyone who hits the crossbar at Ibrox - got a feeling you'll not see the £1m prize.

Renewals packs should be sent out soon. Lisbon stand top tier looks likely to be closed, so people can sit together on lower LL stand.

Unbelievable scenes at the Dalziel Park Hotel last night for the Evening With John Hartson.

Chibbings and fighting happening everywhere and so much Tartan Special drank you'd have thought your were back in the 70s.

Not that I saw any of it of course. I'm just going on what I was told by someone else so it must be 100% correct.

Gordon Waddell and Jim Spence both tweeting that 10 clubs will resign from the SFL to join a new SPFL, SPL 2 will be known as the Championship.

All 1st division clubs except Airdrie, Dundee and Queen of the South are also signatories

For next season?

Do they not need to give notice if they intend to quit?

Some say yes, some say no.

It's all down to how you interpret this from the SFL rule book:

Quote:
“15.2 Notwithstanding any other provision of these Rules, the membership of any
football club promoted in accordance with Rule 92 (Champion Clubs -
Promotion and Relegation) to The Scottish Premier League (or otherwise
admitted to The Scottish Premier League)
, in accordance with the Rules of
The Scottish Premier League, shall automatically terminate upon the
admission of such club to The Scottish Premier League and such club shall
not be obliged to give any notice of its cessation of membership of the
League and shall be permitted to depart from the League and become a
member of The Scottish Premier League (in accordan”

The bit in bold is what's key. The SPL were recently given the go-ahead by an arbitration process to create "SPL2". The question is whether or not an invitation to join such a league is classed as a means of "[admission] to the Scottish Premier League".

The breakaway 10 say they've sought legal advice, and it's almost certainly based on this clause.

I hope they never sought legal advice from Harper Macleod or they'll be scunnered already!

This may explain why I've yet to receive notice about renewing my season tickets with Rangers. An invite on the card perhaps?

You can't count Airdrie, Dundee and QOS as 1st division clubs

The letter has been signed by 8 First Division clubs, plus Queen of the South (who will be one) and Dundee (who will probably be one). This is about next season, not this.

Exactly. If it's about this season, you can't count QOS & Dundee. If it's about next season, you can't count Airdrie!

You are making a mountain out of a molehill.

The post by caltonfan can be read in a couple of ways.
