Perfectly usable where I live and work. You slate Three, yet they do not appear to be the network causing the issue.

The reason they are so cheap is because they don't have a 2G network to run and maintain, and some people have used more than 80GB in a month with 'all you can eat data' and they haven't been blocked or anything.

You blaming Three doesn't prove that it's Three either. Have you actually contacted Orange to see what they say?

O2 came top followed by voda then three - 86 to O2 then 83 voda and three

Yep and O2 came second for Internet and calls.

Yet orange came bottom for them all.

When did the root metrics results for Birmingham come out thine wonk? Looking forward to the other three coming out too.

A few days ago. They are releasing several cities a month, presumably we'll get to see some of the other towns and areas around the country too.

OP have you raised the issue with Orange? they may already know and be working on it.

Ditto. I've found Three much better than O2 here in Cambridge, and also had better 3G coverage and speeds when going to London.

Bloody hell, what's with the desire to defend uk mobile networks. Do you guys realise how silly you sound. Both networks have their strengths and weaknesses. Neither are perfect

About this issue, have you contacted orange cs or three cs
Can you test with a friends orange sim? Do you know people on three who can text you.

So much hassle over a small network issue. Vodafone had this issue a month ago and it was sorted within 1 week. So it might take that long with three/orange

Then this thread is stupid and deserves to be closed. You've just defended Orange for ages and then say their CS is terrible. Stop trolling and call them up to see what they say.

No all call centre's are the same..
Don't matter if its Orange Three, or even whatever..

i defend Orange as its my opinion and i have a right to that..

I found Three totally rubbish, and if its Orange or Three at fault don't matter that much. i know how I suffered on the Three network and I'd give up a phone before going back with them..

Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean they are rubbish. Maybe they just didn't like you.

Is this guy on the wind up? Why not just call your network and see if they have a fault logged for it?

It isn't Wavejock, to give him his due he does just post under one account and wouldn't be posting in the kind of stuff this poster has about Orange.

He has been missing from this forum for a while though.

I don't touch anyone other than 3 or EE because they're the only networks who have bothered to cover my area and indeed my county (and a lot of the region I live in) with the sort of 3G coverage you expect in 2012/2013. O2 and Vodafone are very very poor. (3 and EE share masts and radio networks)

I live in a rural area in a rural county known for getting everything last.

I don't have a problem paying EE £10/month for my phone, nor do I have a problem paying £12 for a SIM card for my laptop with 3 that lasts three months.

You're on Orange... Good chance you'll be connected to a MBNL mast.... Which is THREE.

I was txting a friend last night and everything was grand and then it stopped. I thought he just became busy but his reply came through at 09:05 this morning!

I'm on EE4G (Orange) and he's on 3.

Not slating either network, just sticking my 2 cents in
