JLS - The End
I know alot of people assume 2013 will be the end of JLS.
I've just seen an ad on tv for Got To Dance on Sky1 and Aston is now a judge on the show. This already puts doubt in my mind for the future of JLS. His time and efforts will be spent elsewhere. It seems like they're all doing side projects or at least making plans to. Marvin has become a husband I presume family is fast approaching. Wasn't there talks of the other lad managing UNION-J (I assume if this doesn't work out then he'll try manage/create a boy and)Afterall Jls was his idea. JB ..well...ermm, ahh, ermm?? It seems they've all got plans elsewhere... Rewind 3 years ago and the group was their main focus, it seems like theyre planning ahead for their inevitable downfall. The future for Jls as a group looks doubtful... As individuals it could be bright!? Is 2013 the end?... |

Yes with their sales declining it is the end as 1D have taken most of their fanbase or so it seems.
I'm quite surprised I thought it'd take them five or six years to split and venture to mini solo projects |

People on here have been saying JLS will be over for the best part of five years! it seems we constantly get threads about how they are finished but they are still here hanging on.

I honestly think they could announce they are 'taking a break' this year. Aston is now a judge on GTD, Marvin is married and expecting a baby, Oritsé is taking on more manager roles.....plus add that to their decline in sales and popularity, and I wouldn't really be surprised if they did.

Aston's judging role could raise the publicity of the group so maybe they could be around for longer but if they do go on a break they will probably still have things to do...
Aston - Solo Career, talent show judge Marvin - Acting, taking care of his son/daughter Ortise - Managing Vida (and Union J?) JB - Strictly Come Dancing |

It's mostly pressed Alexandra Burke fanboys. Their 3rd album still went gold and they are doing yet another arena tour. I would say they have done very well.

their tracks are soo generic, in order them to get success, they should change their style and lyrics...

Their career was supposed to be "over" in the end of 2009 lol. So they've done well.

The only reason interest is declining in the is because their music is not as good as it used to be. They need to get back to the kind of songs they released during their mainstream success. Ever since they released the terrible computerised The Club Is Alive and the AWFUL Do You See What I See, people have lost interest in them. I was never a fan of them but I did like their song One Shot. Go back to stuff like that and they'll so well again.

They've just put a big tour on sale so they are far from finished.

Seriously people thought they were over how manys years now?? Getting so boring main thing is they are still able to sell out tours. Whenever the day comes they will always be brothers no matter what.

The End is probably on the horizon, however was till surprised at how well their 4th album is holding up - its also sold over 115k - which to be honest isn't that bad considering other pop acts like The Saturdays, The Wanted, Conor Maynard etc have terrible album sales not even touching 100k.

Bands seem to keep their options open these days and go on 'hiatus', unless they don't get on. JLS seemed to be everywhere around Christmas.

Its as though they just put out the release for the sake of having a single and thats about it. Its weird really how the 4th album has panned out - I wouldn;t be surprised for them to go on a hiatus after their tour next year |

I find it strange how recently their sales haven't been too good but they still manage sell out arena tour after arena tour. They have like 3/4 days for each city but their latest albums is no where near platinum. Very odd

They've always said JLS was a business and their main intention was making money. I don't think they've ever given a shit about their fans.

they been given an award for hardest working band of the year which i find amusing as 34 gigs isn't exactly hard-working(see they missed Quo out again
) but at least they are touring which is more than can be said for most of the x factor lot

I suppose it was inevitable really, they really are the definition of 'shelf life'
1st Album - 4x Platinum 2nd Album - 2x Platinum 3rd Album - Platinum 4th Album - 100k - 200k The tour's not until December which I find strange as I thought it was to promote the 4th album but I presume it will be a greatest hits tour then they'll be gone. They seem like nice guys though. |

I doubt JLS will end in 2013, or even 2014, but I do think that they need to do a singles collection, maybe a couple of singles, but work on a really good album like their first one was and come back in 2014 with a summer hit single |
