Davina could be leaving Channel 4 to go to the BBC so she might not be doing Big Brother 6

Dermot's done loads for the BBC over the past few years and still comes back to C4 for BBLB, so Davina will probably have some sort of clause about BB in her BBC contract (if she does join them).

Good riddance to Davina. She's a crap presenter, well past her best-before date. The BBC can have her.

BB is so time intensive that I doubt it would be worth the BBC's while to give her that kind of get-out clause. Oh, I'm trying so hard not to get hopeful about all this. I do not underestimate her barnacle-like grip on BB, and fear it'll be business as usual for BB6.

I don't even think she enjoys doing BB. Apart from having her own favourites (Emma, Marco, Nadia this year) she doesn't even seem interested in the show at all.

The girl who does X Factor would be much better.

I agree with you there - it's just that nearly all her other projects have been so unsuccessful, and she surely must have some kind of objective perspective on her career - that she got very, very lucky presenting a show that would have worked with any other old presenter anyway, and is unlikely to do as well with anything else.

But Davina only does a few hours on a friday evening.

It's not as though she has to watch it 24/7.........they do have Production Assistants to brief her on what's happened.

It's the BBC who would worry, though. She couldn't present something for them during the BB run because a) it would make the BBC look like the also ran channel picking up c4's scraps, and b) her promotional work for her BBC show would be compromised since everyone would ask her about BB the whole time anyway. Which leaves the BBC the rest of the non-BB year to find her work - but surely that's a recipe for over-exposure and Carol Smilie/Vorderman style perma-presenter mockery, something the BBC would want to avoid if they are paying her loads for an otherwise exclusive deal.

You could say pay her less, but if they want her, that isn't an option either, since it would require her to give up her lucrative advertising work, too.
