Carla forgets that it was Michelle who stole the contract from Anne/Frank..

If I was Michelle I'd say "I'll tell the police about that"..

I am starting to go off Carla now. Her being with Peter is making her so unlikable..

You are so absolutely right. In fact it's been Michelle this whole time. In the aftermath of the Frank saga Carla ran the factory almost into the ground. Had she not left for those months there is no way, whatsoever they couldn't have done a storyline where the factory didn't go into bankruptcy and then had to be shut down.

Sure what Rob did was dishonest and wrong. But it wasn't like Michelle had any true part in it.

Carla is all about Carla all the time. What Carla wants Carla gets. Consequences be damned.

That is true, but that doesn't mean Carla hasn't a right to be annoyed that Michelle new what Rob did and didn't say anything.

What Rob did was wrong. Whilst it's great he helped Carla out, she also helped him out, giving him a job. So they helped each other. And yes he did keep the factory going, with Michelle whilst she was with Peter away but he's acting like he's the hero. He shouldn't have done what he did. It was morally wrong and against the law.

What a load of rubbish.

So that gives Michelle the right to rip Carla off?

Well Carla is a failure at business. If it wasn't for the likes of Tony, Frank, Michelle or anyone else the factory would of went under long time ago, which she seems to forget before trying to get rid of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Carla didn't sack Michelle, did she? Though it's looking as though she might.

She was never likeable. She's been a selfish, arrogant cow since she first set foot on the cobbles.

True and she has totally ruined Peter Barlow as a character too.

She was never a likeable person but a great character.

She's dull now with Peter.

And his whole brainwashed Zen Master thing is just stupid.

Frank left the factory (his share) to Carla so regardless she'd have inherited it back I'd imagine.

This.

When she first appeared as Paul Connor's wife she had no experience of the 'rag trade' but decided that she just had to set up her children's clothing company ... remember that?

Carla's never actually ran the factory singlehandedly, there's always been someone else - nearly always a man - making sure that things actually run properly.

No sooner had Paul snuffed it than Tony Gordon was on the scene. Once Tony was gone, Frank showed up and in between she was supported by Trevor the bin man-cum-factory-manager (yet another one of Corrie's phenomenal job swaps).

True. And wasn't Nick Tilsley a co-owner at one time?

Forgot to add that Paul found it laughable that Carla thought she could run her own business ...

I don't think Carla has forgotten about how Michelle has helped her and the factory in the past. I think she just feels like her best friend has betrayed her a little by keeping quiet about what Rob was up to.

Leanne could empathise with that.

Yeh, is it just me, or since she "got back" has Carla been made noticably more selfish and unlikeable? she obviously always has been - but she used to have more sense and heart - lately they seem to be really playing up her worst traits - to a degree it feels not like just natural character actions, but more of a plot device

http://coronationstreet.wikia.com/wiki/Nick_Tilsley

In 2010, Nick bought up Tony Gordon's shares of Underworld, and was a business partner to Factory Owner Carla Connor. In June that year, Carla's murderous husband broke out and took Carla hostage in the factory, before setting it on fire. Carla managed to escape but Tony perished. When Carla went off with her boyfriend Trevor on a break because of the recent incident, Nick decided to set up his own clothing firm, under the trade name Nick's Nicks. Carla had returned and wasn't happy when she discovered what Nick had been up to, as he had stolen her work force. She then gave his buyer a better deal which he accepted, and Nick decided to let her work with him until the factory was rebuilt.
