Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere - done a quick search but can't find anything.

My husband tried to buy the X-Factor DVD for me yesterday, (bless him - ) but was told by the girl in HMV that it's been withdrawn due to an argument on the DVD which is now in dispute - Anyone know anything about this?

Not a clue Jeanie but I did wonder why I couldn't see it advertised anywhere. I'll see if I can find out anything.

Well - the thick plottens !

Just gone on the HMV website and managed to order it from there. However, not available on Amazon. On ebay, a couple are for sale marked as 'deleted. '

The girl in our local store did say that they had sold out of all the original copies and would not be getting anymore until/unless this problem was sorted.

Has anyone got it that can confirm what row the problem could relate to?

Can't be this as it was released before the final - maybe someone featured in it complained that they were included?

Hi guys

Ive seen the dvd and to be honest I cant honestly see anything that may have constituted a withdraw. The footage of the nine finalists in the auditions literally showed a performance and some of the comments, there was nothing really shown about Steve and Sharon round 1, in fact if anything and this is interesting she was all for him, how things change.

The only thing I could assume is the two young ladies who dressed in a yellow tarty outfit which Sharon referred to as Strippers, the one did not look to pleased, but it was aired on the show so maybe it is maybe it isnt

The dvd is not bad, there is a lot of footage shown in the final, such as the judges picks of their favourite auditions and some stuff from the Xtra Factor.

Not a bad dvd though plus the Chicken Man steals the show as normal

Andy

I think it's something to do with the classification whether it should be pg or 12 because some of the swearing hasn't been bleeped out.

Hi ya Surfchick

It is actually very good, shows some of the best and worst auditions of the series, I enjoyed it immensly if you loved the show which you obviously do, you will love the dvd

well worth watching Hope thats helped

In reference to the following

That might be a valid, Cowells production Symco and Thames joined forces to make X Factor, however Simon Fuller who created Pop Idol, says that Cowell stole his idea and format for Pop Idol. In a way the two shows are very similar the televised audition process, the live shows and of course the judging panel. However Cowells difference was all three judges trying to win a competition. Fuller issued a lawsuit against Cowell, which I believe is either going through the courts or had been settled

Next season though will be interesting Cowell stated that he is considering bringing in "guest judges like American Idol" which again will infuriate Fuller even more

Its getting interesting

Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year
Andy

ITV have also scrapped plans for another Pop Idol and are just sticking with X factor- i doubt Fuller is laughing about that either

Arguably the whole show wasn't about the contestants either, with all that pointless rivalry that went on.

Our local Woolies aid it's because of a fault in the DVD, nothing to do with argument or anything else.

The Simon Fuller law thing started ages ago.. if that was the reason then surely the show would not have continued, there would have been no dvd in the first place and steve would not have been allowed to release a single after the show.... I reckon its just a problem with the dvd or one of the auditionees moaning coz they got humiliated.... who knows
