Jellybean on original samsung galaxy note

I have read in various places that the samsung galaxy note is getting the Jellybean update as part of a upgrade samsung are giving to the phone cslled the premium pack, which also includes some of the functions of the galaxy note 2, like multi windows, better s pen functionality etc, on the reports I have read it says samsung are going to release the update in the second quarter of 2013, when is that?, I would presume it to be april - june but not sure if it means something different

Gsm Arena carried the announcement on 27 December and said the update should be rolling out in the next few weeks. I was looking forward to this by end Jan 2013. It certainly should spruce up the Note, but may still hang back if the reported problems of battery drain are true (on the S3 thread..). Plus, there will be the loss of Flash to contend with.

Dilemma..

Can still get the flash.apk

JB test roms for the Note have been leaked so many times by testers that its unreal. Been runnng a JB rom now with stock kernel, build JZ054K.N7000XXLSC and it is running extremely well. Battery drain does not appear to be an issue.

I'll have to wait and see if I need to side load flash when I update my original note. I recently updated my galaxy tab 2 to jelly bean and I didn't loose flash. If you download the good ereader App Store you don't even need to search for apk files. You can just download flash from their App Store. They have other apps that are not available in the play store.

When will this be released for the Samsung Galaxy Ace on Orange?

Only heard from Samsung that the Ace plus and Ace 2 are getting upgrades.

Will losing Flash, stop the annoying pop up ads that plague the DS site? Happy, if that's the case. Are they using Flash protocol
? I'm hopeless at this stuff.

And I do hope that the JB update is this month - just fancy a new 'lick of paint'. It will stave off any desire to move to a Note 2 and should see me through to the Note 3 at some point.

Oh it does.

The Note to all extents and purposes becomes a Note 2 (without the extra RAM and the other two cores and the S pen sensor and a few other things) well, you get what I mean.

It really is more than a lick of paint. It is a rejuvenation really.
