Hey I think Kirsty is obsessed with Max a little bit why won't she sign the divorce papers and why does she think she and Max have something more special than Max and Tanya do surely she must see they have something special if Max wants to be with Tanya why can't Kirsty just accept that and move on?

Because Max is Kirsty's husband. Max left Kirsty for Tanya. So Kirsty clearly loves Max and is not going to let him go. She was pregnant with Max's child but sadly had an abortion. So of course Kirsty can't just accept and move on just yet! It will take time. Max and Kirsty have a very special connection... I think Max and Kirsty will get together when Tanya leaves.

Well I think Kirsty knows Tanya is Max's "true love" and I don't think it will be the end for Max and Tanya as a couple. Jo Joyner is leaving EastEnders for a year so I think Kirsty will play a big part in Tanya's exit. I think Max and Kirsty will be together for a year. When Tanya returns from her long break, maybe Max and Tanya could get back together. But it's the same storyline as they have done this before when Tanya returned from her maternity leave.

I think Kirsty just want to be with Max, he is her husband and perhaps she "needs" him. As the other user have said, Kirsty looks like she will be a bunny boiler!

My view of those scenes was that Max was saying all the right things (in terms of the decisions he has made in the meantime) but he did not feel them. i/e telling Kirsty to get lost and he loved Tanya etc . She hit a real nerve when she said he had pushed the cash through the door because he knew if he saw her he'd want her. He knew she was right imo. They are (and will be) obsessed with each other, imo.

Possibly because he did a runner and gave her no explanation as to why their marriage was over. And quite rightly she probably felt entitled to one. Oh, and then Max left Derek to deal with her.

If you were executive producer would you make sure its not the end of Max and Tanya as a couple forever. If Max had an affair with Kirsty in 1993 and she had Lauren, Abi and Oscar and got cancer and sent Max away by telling him she doesn't love him and then admitting she does love him like Tanya did and then if she was due to marry Max on Christmas Day and Tanya turned up saying she is Max's wife then we would be seeing the same stuff now

Controvertially I think that when Max arrived back in Walford he couldn't wait to get back to Kirsty, but finding out that Tanya had cancer saw him drawn back into the family. He had no choice but to stay and make the best of it. If Tanya hadn't been ill I believe he would have gone back.

Max doesn't have any problem in moving on when it comes to love. He moved on when he met Tanya, he would have moved on with Stacey given a chance and I believe he had moved on with Kirsty.

IMO, Max doesn't really want her gone. He seems like he's saying all those things just to please Tanya but he still loves Kirsty deep down.

I don't think he had moved on fully Tanya didn't ask him to stay and she didn't ask him to lie with her on that first night and she didn't ask him to tell her he loved her he chose to do all that himself because he relised Tanya sent him away because she had Cervical Cancer and it made sense to him if Tanya had told him she loved him before he left and that she might have Cervical Cancer Max would not of left her in the first place

It wasn't so special that it stopped Tanya from marrying Greg, it wasn't so special that is stopped Max and Vanessa living together or so special that it stopped Max from having an affair with his daughter-in-law. The thing that they have that is special is their children but they don't need to be togther for their sake.

They do have something special imo i think their special thing is better what Kirsty thinks she and Max have even Max and Stacey have something more special than Kirsty and Max. Max and Tanya love each other so much and they always will.

This is how I see it as well and am a bit surprised others don't as it seems quite obvious.

Max is basically a tart and will go with whoever is around at the time. He is weak and has zilch back bone so despite loving and being married to Kirsty he bumps into Tanya with cancer and so he stays with her

It's quite patronizing really and if Tanya had any self esteem she would boot him right out and get get herself an equal as a partner.

I agree with you completely. I think he was quite happy with the new life he'd found and was enjoying his marriage to a woman who excited him. It was only guilt and duty that tied him back to Tanya. If she hadn't had cancer, he wouldn't have stuck around for a second longer than he had to.

I'm inclined to agree as well. He was making a fleeting return after a SOS from his kids and walked into a god awful mess. Tanya refusing treatment, confessing to having killed her dad, nearly swallowing a bottle full of tablets and Lauren and Abi in bits. He really had no choice but to stay and of course the idea of losing tanya who he without a doubt does love effected hinm deeply. It doesn't mean he doesn't have a special connection anmd love with kirsty as well but Tanya and his kids needed him more. Then he fell back in love with the set up.

Why should Kirsty move aside, she knows ehat she and Max had and as far as she is concerned, Tanya is the other woman and Max only went back because she had Cancer. Alls fair in love and war.
