LG8120 on 3 ringtones / Internet question
Does anyone know where I can get free / cheap ringtones / wallpaper for a LG 8120 on the 3 network.
Also, how do you access the internet / wap on this phone? Everytime I try, it comes up with an error message. Thanks. - eugenespeed |

You can only access Three's services. Three do not allow you to access the internet or wap outside of 3. They say there is no call for it.

Exactly prking! Theres no WAP access on 3, so it means you wouldn't be able to take advantage of 'external' content providers. While most of the major 'Short Code' Providers are in negoiations with 3 to allow this sort of thing with them and a partial dropping of the walled garden, this shoddy looking site is not. And have you read small print?!? Quote:
*This is a subscription service & you will be sent a link to get a new tone every five days starting immediately after we send you your link to your free item.
So only free if I take the chargeable ones, every 5 days till doomsday then?Quote:
You can of course leave the service at any time by simply texting fone stop to 87131.
Yeah, because none of us have heard horror stories, or read the many threads here on DS about dodgy websites failing to acknowledge the stop requests and continually sending these unwanted ringtones till all the credit's gone?....Quote:
Tones charged at 2x £1.50 messages every 5 days.
Yaay, so a free ringtone for £18 per month - Bargain!Quote:
Service provided by: StealthNET Ltd....
Was going to say somehing about the company name here, but it'd probably appear libelous.3, Vodafone, Orange - whatever, get your ringtones from your network portal - at least you wont be tied to any repeat purchases. And 3G customers can listen to them first too! |

Equally companies must honour cease requests - if they fail to do so report them to ICSTIS. Always read the small print whatever it is that you are buying..... |
