There were some unbelievably ridiculous coments made by judges during this series (invariably made by Louise and Sharon). Which one do you remember as the daftest?

Let me start with Louise comment to Rowetta after she sang Macarthur park:

" I tink the song was too big for you"

Hilarious!!!!

I don't recall there being an x-factor judge called Louise.

Well whoever Louise is, they couldn't have done a much worse job than Louis

I think Sharons comment to Rowetta about the same song was pretty stupid as well really - 'I don't like songs about food'

I think wellard is spot on about Louise, the pigmy girl from Ireland(Lou Lou should've been a carny IMO )"TOO BIG!!!!!" (not like you then Lou Lou )

I applaud ALL constructive judge critiques whoever they are about.

Like when poor old Simon was trying his best to be diplomatic about the horrendous choice of song for Cassie in "All By Myself" which was IMO and his "way too old" for a lil lass like Cassie....but S.O. kicked off about 17 yr olds, yadda yadda.....IMO "What a plum "

Mammon's idea of constructive..."I don't like songs about food!" or "Too Churchy!"

Weren't we all SO lucky to have such TOWERING intellects helping Simon Cowell judging TXF this year?
On second thoughts, don't answer that one.

Simon's comment about G4:

"Some people will hate them, and some will love them."

Yeah, that makes sense. But, what also made it more weird was the fact that he said it for a few weeks so to him it must of made sense. He gets paid for doing that.

I know that Sharon is meant to be a great manager et ** but aren't all her acts heavy metal mates of Ozzy's who perform at Ozzfest? Please put me right if I am way off here.

It makes sense to me. Some of the G4 performances in the middle of the show were slightly strange e.g Britney Spears, and some people did love it whilst i'm sure a lot of people were ???.

Simon was the most honest judge throughout the whole show and if he wasn't sure whether he liked it or not, he would say so.

When Steve first auditioned and Louis said to Simon - 'He's not that good'. Well, Steve really showed Louis!

Most of Sharons comments were pretty ridiculous, i wish they would critise the contestants singing rather than their clothes, their girlfriends, their old jobs etc.

More to the point, that remark is true of absolutely any act...which makes it an entirely pointless thing to say

But he was hardly ambivalent about those performances.

I'm not sure the words "Simon" and "honest" have any place being in the same sentence.....he was just better at manipulation than the two headless chickens sitting beside him.

When Simon said he didn't know what to say about G4's performances. When has Mr Cowell EVER not been able to make a comment?!

"Verity, you are in my top 3"

WHY? WHY? WHY?

Actually while I'm thinking about it, "Verity, you are through to the next round" was pretty daft as well.

I still don't think Steve is that good. Wouldn't put that down as a ridiculous comment. It's just subjective. I think the judges are OK to criticise clothes to an extent as some of the styling was a bit odd, but I do agree that any personal dig was unnecessary and I'm sure in every case just made viewers more inclined to pick up the phone and vote for the judges' "victims". Sharon was, of course, absolutely entitled to think Steve was rubbish but even I (and I think Sharon's great) was a bit bemused when the volvo comments kicked in!

Personally, the comments that REALLY bugged me were the ones along the lines of

"Cassie is ONLY SEVENTEEN" - as if we should make allowances for her youth.

"This is Rowetta/Steve/Verity/Whoever's LAST CHANCE".

etc. etc. etc. Again, why on earth go for sympathy votes! Utterly pointless comments. I would have thought that highlighting that it's someone's last chance might put doubt into a neutral's mind as to why haven't these so called major talents already made it if they are so great! Obviously it didn't work out that way but it always seemed like a strange plea to put out to the viewers in the hunt for votes.

I agree. In our house, we ran a sweepstake after Cassie's perfs for the number of words before Louis said 'seventeen'
