Like the Dark Ages

I had to endure 3 days without any wifi at home recently. My wifi-only tablet was reduced to being just a games console. It was like being stuck in some strange place where I couldn't connect to the world.

Never again. It was a horrible time - I had to talk to the wife

I suspect that she didn't enjoy it either.

That's nothing, when we lost wi-fi we ended up painting gazelle and bison on the walls and using our tablet devices as deadly frisbees to cull passing mammoths

Maybe the neighbours changed their wi-fi password?

Setting up our new tv the wife decided to sort out the cables, but in the process of being switched off the crappy Sky Sagem router stopped working. Had to wait for my father in law to bring round a spare old white Sky white Netgear router (which is actually a lot better signal wise). Also, it didn't help that my wife had reconnected the telephone/modem cables incorrectly.

How did we ever cope before...
The refrigerator, telephone, tv, mobile, text messaging...

Successive cries down the ages. When the next great invention comes along you can guess what someone will say.

Or, as they said in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "...the secret is to bang the rocks together".
