Even though you don't like Tanya do you like Jo?
I quite liked the programme she was in about lady taxi dirvers (can't remember the name of the programme), but not particularly because she was in it, just because it was easy, watchable, light entertainment. |

He's the most overrated soap character of all time!
The sighs at every sentence is very frustrating. The constant hands on hips is annoying. The use of "babe" all the time is very infuriating. Him acting "holier than thou" is also very hypocritical and laughable, but I guess that's why he is with Tanya. Max and Tanya should be shown the nearest Exit door and thrown out onto Elstree's car-park or wherever the studio's is based never to be heard of again (with Lauren and Joey included) |

Keep him!!! The relationship between Max and Tanya is quite frankly the best on EE right now. I know he has cheated and lied about finicial woes but it always comes back to them.
I'm annoyed that they are parting them yet again, but this isn't their faults, Jo needed a break to they had to write this in. but im sure there were many options. I began thinking that Tanya was gonna kill Derek and Max told her to dissapear for a while so to protect her. That would have been better then to add yet another woman into the mix. BUT....he hasn't cheated (minus the silly kiss in Fridays ep), he went away thinking Tanya didn't want him ever again, met a lady and married. The moment he found out about Tanya's ilness he shot right back so it's very clear that Tanya is the only woman he wants. But i can see only one thing coming....another affair which causes Tanya to leave for a bit. But i hope they find another way to seperate the two for a bit rather then a complete break. |

I remember Jake Wood saying cast members jaws hit the floor when they found out about the Kirsty storyline. Yeah so did mine, because I let out one heck of a big yawn:yawn::yawn::sleep:!

Used to love Max but as of this storyline which was so beyond not shocking, i realise he needs to go. It's becoming the same thing with Max with his many women. I would be contempt with Tanya and Max leaving, allowing Cora to live in their house with Abi and Lauren.

I actually think EE producers will keep Max around for a long time, but I wouldn't necessarily say Tanya will be around for too much longer.
Same for Abi, I think what is true about the character is that she is ambitious and wants to have a professional career so university will be on the cards for her if they keep with the realism. Lauren however, I think she'll be a long-term character (even though I'd say they're all long-term as they've been around since 2006) |

Didn't Emmerdale kill off one of their big characters in a shock twist a while ago? I might be getting the soap wrong. I'd love EastEnders to do this with Max. Killing him off would soon put an end to the Branning domination. Cut off the beast's head and all that.

I like the character and the actor but the way he's being written (either as serial womaniser or sex addict) is getting a bit tired and boring now.

He looks like a massive ginger wotsit. When the whole Xmas reveal with Kirsty came out, all I could think was, why the hell would you be attracted to THAT?! She looks so totally plastic and stringy and like something a cat has thrown up. How he keeps on managing to gain the respect of his two daughters is beyond me. If all he can really do is cheat on his wife over and over again, its time he went.

In what way is he a strong character?
He's all about flipping from one woman to another, mostly when he's still with a woman. What's strong about that? |

I don't know her so I can only form an opinion based on the character of Tanya.

Max can take Kat with him when he goes. No doubt they'd get Abi to hold the door open for them so it doesn't hit them on the way out, unfortunately.
Tanya is really getting on my nerves too, as the "other woman" she has no right to go attacking Kirsty. Hypocrisy of the highest order, particularly because she likes to think of herself as some kind of glorified victim of cheating. |

I disagree. In terms of male characters IMO he's one of the only decent ones EE have got. Jake Wood is great actor and there is a lot of potential becuase of that. I agree though that they need to move away from affairs etc.

Max is like Kat in the fact that he seriously needs to evolve now. Both are stuck in ruts as characters and if they are to stay on the show (and not bore people to death) they both need to address their issues and try and do something about them. Otherwise it's like groundhog day.
Who didn't guess that his 'secret' was another woman in some shape, form or guise? The only slight surprise was that she turned out to be a WIFE. Even more surprising (to me anyway) is the fact that this woman still wants him I'd have preferred her to have landed on them on Christmas day full of bile and hell bent on revenge for being abandoned!

Well its not Tanya's fault she and Kirsty are both victims maybe both of them need self respect not just Kirsty and maybe Max needs to respect people a bit more. Tanya was humiliated in her wedding dress and Max was going to marry her while still married to Kirsty its not Tanya's fault.
Kirsty met and married a divorced man and is well within her rights to see and speak to Max. Who's Tanya, but the other woman in all of this? What makes her think she has the right to tell Kirsty to clear off? Kirsty's still his wife. |

I think Jake will stay as long as EE will have him. The production team have made it clear the Brannings are EE new head family

Irrelevant. She now knows that Max married Kirsty. She was separated from Max at that point and she herself told him to leave (not justifying what Max has done, just looking at things from Kirsty's POV).

Well Max gave Kirsty divorce papers and he told her it was over. When Tanya got together with Greg her last name was still Branning does that mean she was cheating on Max even though she wasn't divorced from him when she first met Greg? But its not Tanya fault she and Kirsty are both victims in this. Tanya was humiliated in front of her family in a Wedding dress. Tanya loves Max and will always do and Max loves Tanya in his own way that is why Tanya is fighting for Max because she loves him. I think Tanya and Kirsty both need self respect.
I didn't say the humiliation was Tanya's fault. It's her "fighting for a married man" routine that's her fault and the reason I'm currently disliking her. Kirsty hasn't signed any papers yet. I'm not interested in the details, Kirsty is still married to Max and has more of a right to tell Tanya to back off than Tanya has to tell HER to clear off. |
