Croatia have shot up in my rankings. It sort of passed me by in the semi final. Being first in the final has definitely helped it. Wouldn't mind seeing Bosnia, France, Germany or Italy win either.

The final should be at 7pm tomorrow. Still waiting for a few votes though. You know who you are!

I've just noticed the video for Turkey has been deleted from YouTube. I can't see another version of it in English but there is this Turkish version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5laEC5o9szs

Bit of a review for the final:
Croatia - This is good, didn't realise she was part of Feminnem, builds well. Bosnia - Not outstanding but good for Bosnia, probably the best available. Spain - I still can't totally decide about this, it's the sort of Spanish song that generally I wouldn't really like, but it's not bad actually. Norway - Had this lined up as one for the next picks contest so a bit of a shame it's gone, it's really catchy and Carina Dahl's early exit in MGP will have done it no harm. For me Norway are the only big country that have totally delivered in this contest. Cyprus - Can't blame someone for picking Nikolas Metaxas because I know he's popular with some, but I've never really liked him tbh. Not a big lover of the Cypriot music scene. Armenia - It's not bad, it might do ok, we seem to be in a phase where these types of Armenian songs do well, like that spell when Montenegro had a run of results. Russia - There was something about Kamaliya I didn't really like when she was sent for Kazakhstan (?) ages ago, she's just got one of those faces. This is very different, songs in Russian don't seem to do well these days, which is a pity. This might do ok. Czech Republic - It's alright, the Czechs rarely come up with much though. Portugal - It's pleasant, like many Portuguese songs maybe lacking that extra bit to make it a contender, but I like it. Moldova - Decent choice for Moldova. Ukraine - Another that's not bad, lively. UK - I'm liking Jordan's subtle approach to this contest. The chorus to this is very good. Turkey - It's a good song with a decent tempo, possibly the best 'western' Turkish song we've had since Sibel, I'm surprised the reviews have been a bit mixed tbh. Estonia - A pity about the acoustic version, the original could possibly have broken the Estonian record if they'd released a video for it. Still like it though. Slovenia - One of the best we've had from Slovenia for a while, similar to Bosnia in some ways but more memorable. Switzerland - This is alright. Ireland - The video is nice, will be interested to see if the song itself is good enough to do well in the final, wouldn't like to predict where this one will end up, could be anywhere. Sweden - Ah, Kevin Bridges' younger brother in concert. Similar sort of theme to the video as Ireland. I don't know if he's got totally the right look to win, but the song is really good. Netherlands - I hadn't noticed before that this song was about that murdered girl, a nice tribute. Didn't realise either they used to be part of Within Temptation, explains the similar sound. San Marino - Not bad, it reminds be a bit of Muse for some reason. Romania - This is good, sort of a Kylie sound to it. Italy - A bit surprised by this choice, it's well down the list of Laura Pausini songs, doesn't really seem to have taken off in Italy either judging by the viewing figures. Germany - It's nice if you like that sort of thing. Can't totally decide if I like it or not, but wouldn't be massively surprised if it won. France - Not really sure about this song, it's a bit on the dull side. I did think about sending her with another song a while ago but decided against it. |

At the moment we've got one non voter. How would people feel about letting the people who've included that song in their points replacing it? Saves wasted points

Ok, if the voter sends points in before I do the Scorewiz I'll let them stand but if anyone who voted for France originially wants to resubmit their points feel free to PM me.

But are you gonna get all of France's voters to change before the results???
Some might say it would be unfair that some got to change their vote, but someone who was away for the day couldn't, which if they could've altered it could've changed the result. But considering I am not expecting voters anyways, I don't particularly mind, I just think some people may put up a fuss

Effectively it will only mean people getting an extra point or two anyway shouldn't really effect the results too much.

I just think it's better for people not to waste points on something that's going to be disqualified

It was thms. To be fair I know he sometimes has other things to deal with so I'm sure he's got a good excuse why he hasn't voted
