Well I love Richard Hammond and like Total Wipeout and many other shows that a lot hate...

But this new show is the biggest pile of Poo I have ever seen on TV.

I'm actually embarrassed on behalf of the show.

We know that Richard Hammond likes to prefix the title of most shows he is in with his own name, but surely even he would be too embarrassed to own this rubbish. An insult to viewers.

BBC3's Impractical Jokers isn't bad btw.
Slightly different idea though, it's the jokers rather than the random punters you're laughing at.

They need to cut him out and make it 100% voice over. I might give it a second chance then.

It wasn't terrible but not the best prank show ever. I could see it doing a comfortable 3-4 million. Makes me miss Wipeout.

The prank show hasn't gone anywhere and is unlikely to for the foreseeable.
Dom Joly's try at the primetime prank show on ITV wasn't much copp either, from what I saw of it.

Hey ho, Saturday 'primetime' isn't my usual territory, back to Tigers on BBC 4 for me.

Saw a bit of this and it looked pretty cronic. Parents who thought their daughter was marrying a prince and a pass the parcel with a pigs foot. A low for BBC.

Frankly as a complaint about TV, if you want and expect new, you'd get about an hour of TV a day.
All you can hope for is a new 'slant' on an old idea at best IMO.

Yes, how is it his secret service?

I'd expect that if you are a celebrity who fronts a show which is prefixed by your own name, then if it fails it should be seen that it is a failing on your part too.

The 'jobsworth' was mildly amusing. He was dead right when Hammond turmed up and he told Hammond he was ruining it. He was dead right. Pretty embarrassing fare really.

Great hidden camera stunts without victimising the people they were involving.

I think your post confirms that the people the show is aimed at, i.e families and possibly kids, seemed to have liked it. It did what it was meant to do. I do think that the timelot was wrong and that it possibly alienated older viewers away from the channel.
