Out of the three new BBC1 shows this evening this was the more watchable
Wouldn't go out of my way to watch it but it's surely got to be better than watching a bunch of z listers belly flop from the top board. |

I enjoyed it as it wasn't about celebrities and the tasks the contestants had to do were very hard. Well done to the winner - won't mention the name in case someone hasn 't watched it.

Well I'm glad some of you enjoyed it, unlike the moaning minnies on the other thread.
I should declare an interest at this point: I'm one of the contestants on next Saturday's show. I can't give too much away, but not all the games next week are the same, so keep watching. The audition process to get into this was the hardest part - we had to complete a 35-minute written IQ-type test, and a series of physical puzzles and memory tests. The 24 eventually selected as contestants all scored over 85% on these. The day of filming was also tough, we had to be at the Salford studios by 10am, and they finally wrapped up the recording by 11:45pm, so some of those challenges you saw involved contestants who had been at it for 12+ hours. The spelling challenge was harder than it looked: what they didn't tell you was that the time limits were 7sec, 6sec then 5sec for the three rounds, so not much time to think. Anyway the crew and contestants all worked hard to make this an enjoyable and different kind of show, and I hope it will do well in the ratings compared with the lowbrow dross on offer elsewhere. |

Almost a 14 hour day during filming, must have been tough with undoubtedly a lot of waiting around. Last nights winner must be the one to beat, amazing performance. |

At one point, one of the runners said we all had to be back in the green room, because the gamesmaster was coming down to explain the rules of the next game to us in the next five minutes. An hour later, he showed up. |

It was ok, I will probably watch next week. A few of the games were a bit random (not keen on the one with celebrities) and there was quite a lot of luck involved but the contestants were quite likable and I think the bit where the contestants mentioned something they weren't good at was a good idea.
I really liked the game at the end as well, it was quite exciting and could almost be a show in itself |

Was looking forward to this (was emailed asking to audition but wasn't available) - really glad I didn't.
Don't really know what it is? Not really a test of knowledge (shame the older guy got booted off the spelling round for raising his hand slightly too high!) Didn't watch it all - gave up. Won't be watching next week. |

The spelling round looked like some really bad Kinect game.
The observation round was just basically Strictly Come Dancing with Karate added on. Overall, I thought the show was fine. I was good at the maths round. |

Utter rubbish IMO. Was looking forward to it, but after watching on Saturday it should be renamed Britain's DULLEST.....
That's no slight on the contestants, far from it - but the whole show was so mind numbingly dull for a Saturday evening. Honestly, do we really care? As dull as dishwater - not helped by a boring presenter who honestly thinks spelling and number tests are primetime entertainment? At 75 mins. it was way too long and I kept asking myself "when is this going to end?" Sorry guys, won't watch again - best of luck to you all - and no, I didn't watch Splash either! |
