This appears to be an even more outrageous example of giving a couple a free holiday than Escape to the Country. None of the couples looked likely to buy any of the offerings.

Ive only seen a couple of them - France and Austria. I thought the couple looking to move to France probably will - not necessarily to one of the houses shown them though. The couple looking to move to Austria - definitely not! Difficult to tell if they ever really intended to. Him maybe but I doubt his wife was ever seriously considering it. It would be interesting to know the percentage of people who do make the move. It dosn't really bother me if they don't choose one of the houses they are shown, most house hunters get to view more than 3 or 4 houses before they find the right one. I quite like it so far but only to see the countries and their houses. Some interesting info on what its like to live there too.

I wouldn't call being dragged round by an estate agent, on the hard sell, a "holiday". Though the people involved could well need one after having to put up with the TV crew.

Never make the mistake of thinking that "going away" is always fun and relaxation.

Well, I must have missed the estate agent on a hard sell, all I saw was people being shown around nice houses by the presenters (sometimes only one each day), spending a week living in one of them, taking part in local activities and presumably having every evening free for whatever they wanted to do.
