US bought Kindle Fire
I bought my husband the Kindle Fire while in the US. All has been fine with it. He tried to watch BBC iplayer on it yesterday but it told him he was in the wrong region is there a way around this?

I don't think there is - I've had a US Kindle fire for a year. It works fine with books etc, but there is no way to reach content like music, films and TV.

Did you register it with a US amazon account (i.e. amazon.com) ?

We registered it on our UK account. it isn't a big deal if we can't get around it but would have been nice if we could.

Have you tried changing the location of the kindle to the UK?
