4g allowances

I am thinking of getting a one plan contract and using it to tether with a DC hsdpa phone . But don't want to waste money doing this if its likely 4g mobile broadband tarriffs will improve .

Is it likely that once the 4g licences are awarded that three or even EE will start to offer better allowances for a decent price as the current 10gb 3g offers that are around still aren't really high enough to replace broadband In slow rural areas.

Thoughts most appreciated !

This is anyones bet tbh.

I doubt they will open up unlimited deals whilst they are still charging so much, which i guess is still getting them a lot of business.

What do you expect to be able to do on 4G that you cant already do on 3G?

Stable and better only means anything if you already have issues with 3G where you are.

I have no issues on three with what you describe, every where i go from day to day, so 4G wouldn't give any benefit.

You would be best talking to people where you live to see if they have issues streaming.

Ive used a Three mifi in the house a couple of times when the VirginMedia cable BB (10mb at the time) has gone down and for general streaming, browsing etc we hardly noticed a difference.

That was using 2 laptops with it at the same time.

Personally, I dont think there will be unlimited plans for a long time, those who have signed up for contracts now still have 23 months till they can move provider. Will the others have a decent offering by then? Will the market be that competitive that someone has to offer higher or unlimited allowances?

I dont think that even Three have an unlimited plan for their Broadband devices, only those plans as part of the One Plan.

Why not not get the One Plan SIM-only as it's a 30-day rolling contract?
