I'm off to spend my xmas money .

Reserved this off argos website.

Could anybody tell me a little information about the n-gage.

Also could anybody tell me if this phone will be SIM FREE.... because it doesn't say anything.

This is the original N-Gage, it has a few problems nothing which would bother some people though, the major problem is you have to take the back off and the battery out to change a game. It does seem to be sim free aswell. If your budget can stretch to it get the N-Gage QD, its got some updates and i think its around £100, but probably wont be sim free.

Hope this helps, Sean

I've bought this.

It is UNLOCKED, but comes with a VirginMobile sim pack and a 32mb memory card/game card.

Quite happy with it so far.

right, i want this phone....

there's just a few things to verify before i go off and buy it (my store has it in stock)

1. if it's unlocked but comes with a Virgin Mobile sim, i can take the O2 sim i got, stick that in and it'll work, as i dont like Virgin...

2. was £75.99 the price you paid in store?

Yes it will be £74.99/£75.99/whatever, as it is in their sale.

Personally I wouldn't buy this to use as a phone though. Lovely little Sharp slide phone on T-Mobile though for £74.99

I paid £75.99 in store..... i reserved it online, before i went to the checkout i tryed to find it in the catalogue and i couldn't find it. I didn't even know it was coming with a sim card because it didn't say online e.c.t....

I've only tryed my TESCO Mobile sim card so far, which works fine.. your o2 sim should work.

I spent all day yesterday downloading free ringtones and java games.... hard to find because when you go to a site called "Free Nokia Mobile Games".... you end up having to pay for it.... false advertising.

Also the phone comes with a cd-rom, with a few tools for your pc.... Nokia PC Suite, Nokia Audio Manager and a few others..

Only problem is you can't use the nokia pc suite with the usb cable it comes with... you need a BlueTooth adapter for the pc.

When you connect the ngage with the usb cable the computer sees it has a harddrive and you can browse the contents of the phone.

dont like T-Mobile

i can help with your "finding free tones" problem, go to http://www.cbfmobile.com

their tones work on N-Gage

right

i decided to "investigate" the Sharp TM100 and i can say it looks really nice!

i like to game and listen to music a lot, so the N-Gage would suit me there, can also keep my O2 sim (as it's sold as unlocked)

on the other hand...

i'd find the Sharp TM100 easier to use as a phone, it looks nicer, its over a quid cheaper and is on T-Mobile (now i did say i dont like T-Mobile, but i think, given time, if i got this phone, i'd get used to them)

so now, i got to decide before i actually go into Argos (i've written the catalogue numbers down off the site so when i walk into the store, i can use a stock checker before i buy)

EDIT: decision has been made, i'm getting the slide phone (Sharp TM100) on T-Mobile

my store has it in stock, if for some reason i cant get this then i'll keep the N-gage in mind as a backup option...

bought the last one in our store yesterday, works fine (better then my friends QD version, where`s his stereo MP3 and radio?) but i`m having one problem, when i put midi files from my comp onto the phone (via USB) i can`t find them to use as ring tones, does anybody know where i`m going wrong?

when i put MP3 on the phone there fine, just 3-7kb is a lot better then 200-300kb.

Thanks.
