No, actually you are right, that is one scenario where watching a movie on a tablet makes sense, although if travelling with my wife we tend to prefer to watch on the laptop (with two pairs of earphones).
The ironic thing about my "sad single" posting is that i am currently away on business and posting this from Prezzos while having my sad single meal ![]() I wont laugh at the sad single meal! I had the same tonight as the missus is working late

The ones i download from the states ARE in 16:9. Just because you say they aren't doesn't make it so.
I have films in 16:9. Of course, if you want to name all these movies we can always check. |

Pretty sure District 9 was shot in 16:9 to give the documentary feel the Neill Blomkamp wanted.
28 Days Later was shot mostly on digital camcorders, so was also only presented in 16:9 That's two just off the top of my head. |

Then you are watching a cropped movie. No wonder the aspect isn't important to you
Why wont you understand this! HDTV programs like you have been told are 16:9. I download a ton of these weekly. Some movies are as well. I never once said all either. Quote:

All filmed in 1.85:1
All HDTV programs, 16:9. You still going to continue to argue this? |

All HDTV programs, 16:9. You still going to continue to argue this? OMG your lack of knowledge is second to none, NONE of those films were filmed in 16/9. |

Not sure where your info is coming from, but 28 Days Later was shot on SD digital camcorders, so is 16:9 anamorphic output. It may have been reframed to 1.85:1 for the cinema presentation, but the source material was 16:9.

I don't know how people like you fail to see the iPad mini as innovative. I have a Nexus 7 as well and in comparison it is rubbish. So I conclude that Google equally lack in innovation.

I think your quoting has been a little selective
My point here is, some films are in 16:9 as are some broadcasts which is what i said. In this case, we are actually both correct. |

Why is a shame? Content is in widescreen these days which is 16:9. Why would you want old 4:3 or close to that?
Browsing i found it when i used my sisters on xmas day to be bloody fast! Its bloody crazy. I dont know where people are getting all their 4:3 content from! |

Yes it is. Show me any broadcasts or films these days not in widescreen.

So it contains 16:9 footage and was originally shot in 16:9.

I've also requoted your original statement where you asked me to show any film these days which isn't widescreen. I stand by my statement that it would be far harder to find one that is, unless it is cropped. If claiming we are both correct makes you happy, fine

What is that meant to prove
should I just assume everyone acts the same or come from a certain social category because of videos like this?Believe me, if that was the case I would be far more worried about some of the people I've seen using android phones. Luckily I'm not that narrow minded. |
