I don't know a lot about Jude Law's current situation, so I Googled him and it appears that he's dating a very attractive woman called Phillipa Coan, with whom he was photographed cosying up at a basketball game in New York a few days ago. I wonder if we'll soon be seeing comments from Liz about Ms Coan's unfortunate penchant for Garnier Fructis ...

Well, what was that all about and why should anyone get excited at being the second person invited to anywhere (if you believe it)?
Reasons to get married - and she invents a new category for her alone apparently. The husband to be doesn't matter at all, only the location. Quite feasible with our Lizzie, who gives a remarkable impression of hating men most of the time anyway. I doubt any of us were worrying about her bailing out the shelter for her 2 ponies and Nic's horses (if they are still there). After all, there are people in the North West still not able to enter their houses because of the recent flooding. Slightly more important, I think? If Liz can't concentrate on doing her job at any Fashion event, then that is her failing as that is what she is paid to go and do. From the many photos in the press of these events, we see fairly ghastly clothes on stick pin girls or girls whose way in has been purchased for them. What we don't see is what we would probably be far more interested in seeing - fashion in various price ranges and styles, not weirdo tat never produced in real life. What most women would like to see is clothes they might wear, surely? Yes, Liz, you certainly are deluded and even more so if you think you can write (? and produce) a movie about fashion that someone will give you the money to make and people will pay to see. This is just not a subject of interest any more. |

Oh dear, nothing about 'love' in her reasons why women get married. What a load of name-dropping drivel, as usual. And another dig at her ex husband - calling him 'The Lump'. Plus a further carping at the cheapness of the ring The Baker gave her. Actually, I thought 'The Lump' behaved well during the divorce - didn't go after a penny from Jones.
Her usual farticle, too - about 'Manifesting - is risible http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...-claptrap.html Going on about appearing in the bankruptcy court, she says that HMRC 'hate famous people who shop in SpaceNK'. No they don't; they hate the attitude of SOME people who evade paying tax. I've had my own problems with income tax (due to a 'Residency' misunderstanding on my part when I returned to the UK after living abroad). My accountants and I sorted it with the tax people, I co-operated, so there was never even a hint of bankruptcy or IVAs and throughout it all, I found EVERYONE at HMRC kind, helpful and understanding. I was in the wrong. I owed back tax. And I didn't take it personally, but paid up. The Inland Revenue doesn't 'hate' people, famous, infamous or nonentities who shop in SpaceNK or even who shop in their local Pound Store. They hate tax evasion. |

According to Liz, the ONLY reason men get married is because they want a free maid around the house. No fear of that for the Baker. Although maybe he wanted a free nurse instead - since Liz dealt with the risk of him falling down her basement stairs, not by taking safety precautions but by yelling "I REFUSE TO BE YOUR CARER!" at him
This is the second week that the Dreary has been blissfully shorter ... so we can probably expect that to continue. Which is good, but means that she's getting paid to do even less! |

So the only reasons she wanted to marry him was a to have a glam wedding at Easby Hall and the offer of a free honeymoon. Yes, most women think that way don't they?
![]() What ''movie about the fashion business''? Has this venture occurred to her between last week and this because she's never mentioned it before. As usual, she exaggerates and makes it sound like it'll be a big Hollywood production instead of the one hour doco it'll probably be, and on Sky Arts which no one watches anyway. How do florists turn rose petals inside out? Is this evidence of hallucinations or - heaven forfend! - drug taking? With the talk of ''nasty, germy'' stuff her OCD is definitely on show this week. I think we can safely say it's all off between her and D Scrace though. The engagement ring being described as ''a piece of tat worh £21.99'' would probably have been the clincher

Have just read today's other article the one about being jealous/scornful/spiteful regarding other people's methods of attracting good luck, and let's face it, everything in this world is down to luck. As usual Liz has had rather a large share of good luck in her life but never does she choose to acknowledge it or sound in the slightest bit grateful for all that's gone well for her, instead she prefers to nurse that gigantic chip on her shoulder, which I believe she calls Poor Me ! I do think it helps if you feel grateful when things go well, it does work as a fantastic antidote to feeling miserable. Also wishing other folk well is another great way to get through feeling low. Neither of those approaches would occur to you know who! 😃
But on the other hand everyone needs to have a good moan now and again. How lucky is Liz Jones being actually PAID to moan, now that is incredible luck (for her but not the rest of us). Last edited by Ade_Lw : 28-02-2016 at 12:37. Reason: Forgot to mention |

She's on good carping form in the other piece when she says about ''being taken to bankruptcy court by HMRC, mainly because they hate famous people who shop in Space NK''. Pay up Liz, stop living beyond your means and you won't be.
She's right about the 'manifesting' lark though. It IS crap.

Oh look what's gone on the market! And down to £850K now (it was up for £1.1m when she bought it), how sad.

I don't think anyone would class her as "famous" though, any more than they would call her "popular". Even "well known" would be stretching it as she isn't, unless you read the Mail.
Also is Space NK well known, unless you live in London? |

Forget about Vogue. Forget she ever blamed anything on Vogue. Because (for one week only) her entire life being terrible is no longer Vogue's fault, it's all about Jackie! She'd never have known to cut her hair to remove split ends without Jackie, but sadly her PhotoStory Romance didn't quite work out. CURSE YOU, Jackie

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-...-53214913.html Very bare of furnishings though, and loads of replastering going on too. I imagine any prospective buyers might be forking out because of a damp problem. ![]() ETA -notice there's been a new damp course installed, so that'll be the replastering. I'd have thought she might have at least rollered some paint over the walls to make them look a bit better. |

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-...-53214913.html Her home improvements also seem the have damaged the resale value - if you look at the brochure when she bought the house in 2011 it looked a lot nicer http://media.rightmove.co.uk/46k/459...OC_00_0000.pdf - then it had 4 bedrooms - now it has 3 - she has moved the kitchen into the basement to make room for a "library" - yet the dining room and living room is still upstairs so not exactly popular with families etc if you have to carry food upstairs to the dining room - thy don't even show the kitchen/kitchen units now - very unusual for a house of this type - perhaps it's not finished |

What a difference 5 years makes ![]() Estate agent description 2011 Quote:
The whole of the property has been well maintained and is presented in good order. An internal inspection is thoroughly recommended to appreciate the property’s many outstanding qualities.
Estate agent description 2016Quote:
Lawn House has been the subject of part renovation where a damp proof course, new boiler system have been installed and the original floorboards have been refurbished.
Waterfall Cottage remains un modernised and does require refurbishment and/or alteration. |

I cant believe she's managed to knock nearly 25% off the value of that house in 5 years, i can hardly believe she paid over a million quid for it in the first place. Lovely house but who buys a rural detached stone house with only 3 beds? She must have wasted a bedroom converting it into that monstrosity of a bathroom, it looks like a hotel bathroom and for a house like this that is very definitely not a good thing. Three different types of fireplace-faux medieval, victorian and modern house brick all in the one house, that is a crime against fireplaces imo. The facade is all wrong too, its like a mish mash. That pink draylon sofa looks like a little girl's dream.
I've just realised why she's obsessed with these designers- she has zero trust in her own taste. In fact she may not even have her own taste any more, she would literally dress like a clown if Vogue said it was in style. She adds a whole new meaning to superficial, imagine spending all those years reading about fashion and design and still being unable to extrapolate any of that knowledge and apply it to your own house that you are desperately selling because you are deeply in debt. A lick of paint, storing the cheap chairs somewhere else and spraying the moss on the driveway would have taken her a day to do and gone a long way towards making the place look more presentable, lazy cow. |

Neither did I. It looks like she is...........dreary. p.s. If she can afford to 'go home and light' her Diptyque(s) candles, at £30 - £50 a pop she can't be that hard up. Of course, I forgot, she doesn't buy food does she, so she probably can......roll eyes !! |
