It is my job to write about an extravagant lifestyle. My professional persona and my real persona are significantly different, particularly financially.
This is clearly nonsense, and such transparent nonsense it's laughable. If her writing were fictional, and her financial details not as chronicled in the endless witterings about her extravagance, why would she be facing bankruptcy?

But for all any of us know (including Liz) one of the kids was ill and that's why Catherine went home? William must have agreed with her, after all, and he hates the Press quite enough to know how they would moan about it!
Is there a single sentence in today's Diary that she hasn't written a hundred times before? Blah blah hand-painted wedding invitations, Blah blah lumberjack shirt, Blah Blah £5 rose, Blah blah no lunch break Blah blah didn't get David in 1983 blah blah "Look what you didn't get" Blah blah packet meals blah blah.... Isn't it strange the way she's always complaining that she's not had enough food to eat ? It makes me question how much of her adult life has she actually lived on her own because the way she goes on about food it's as if others have always provided it for her, like she's never been the one responsible for making her own meals.
Back at the farm house in the West Country she asked an interviewing journalist not to mention that her sister was living with her. But journo ignored the request.

The official reason given was that Catherine will not be continuing the long traditional of a senior royal female giving out the shamrocks each year, but she will attend every now and again OWTTE. Personally I don't think it's right just knock years of tradition on the head like that, especially when it was said that Kate wanted to be at home with her family when those in our armed forces don't see their own families sometimes for months on end. Then a few short weeks later turning up as a cover girl. Poor show. Am with Lizbott here.

The photos were taken much earlier in the year, still in Winter I think. I would like presenting the shamrock to continue, but given so many historical regiments were just wiped out in the restructuring of your armed forces perhaps it may be best to let it go.

Does look like winter I agree. That the cover turned up so close to the Irish Guards disappointment is unfortunate but hi lights starkly the difference in attitude concerning duty between the younger royals and the old guard.
I would like to comment but I'm SO busy at the moment, conferring with an extremely talented artist to hand-paint a note to leave out for the milkman tomorrow. And then I'm SO frustrated because I put my new Conran Shop antique rose linen on the bed (realised I hadn't changed the sheets since New Year's Eve) and then the cat promptly stress-sh*tted all over the bed ... must be the nasty cheap Kit-E-Kat it had for breakfast - you see, I AM having to economise ...

I imagine the decision (for whatever reason) was approved by the Queen: William, who is Colonel of the Irish Guards, was present. It's not as if the Irish Guards were shunned or fobbed off with a very junior member of the Royal Family.
(My father served in the Irish Guards in WWII. I feel certain he would not have found this to be a slight towards the regiment. I fear the media made way too much out of the Duchess of Cambridge's absence.)

The Duchess can't do right for doing wrong. Whatever she does, it's wrong, and whatever she doesn't do, it's wrong.

Totally agree on this. Catherine IS having a very rough ride unfairly, I suspect it's because she's not from the aristocracy. Isn't it actually better if she dresses in High Street clothes when she wants to? That must encourage sales in shops, as has the clothes she puts her kids in. Leave her alone - she has had the guts to take on an awful job and needs to get herself sorted out for her future. Do the Press want her to walk out on William and him to follow? I know they all love Harry but if he refused too, we will be left with Andrew and his ghastly daughters!
I think Liz goes on about food to remind us all she is borderline anorexic and as for having a hundred and so many animals, most of them are sheep (dunno where they are now) 2 ponies, aged dogs and ancient feral cats. Oh, and poor Prudence.

ha !Am sure the royal couple do have a lot of support and the Queen must sanction their decisions. But at the same time there is an unease about the number of duty events they shy away from, and you've got to remember they have child care coming out of their ears AND one grandma who stays with them a good deal. So they really are well covered to zoom off in the helicopter to perform a duty then be back home in no time. I think this is what irks folk. And I'm afraid Queenie lost me when she awarded fav son with a medal after he was papped strolling with his pedo mate Jeffrey.
Agree about the award to Fat Andy and partly about the Cambridges, but not totally. It is the Queen who has said they can do less and bring up their children more normally - once she passes and William becomes Prince of Wales, they will have to change and I am sure they know that. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may!!
I think HM was more affected by the death of Diana than is generally realised and doesn't want to see William forced into a job he doesn't really want too early, as she herself was.
Having as many potential babysitters as you want sounds great, but remember Charles hated it when he was growing up and she knows that too. Nothing beats the cuddles of Mum and Dad.

She's only got to read back copies of the Mail or google herself to see she has been like this for about ten years - how did she imagine a boyfriend with no money would solve it for her? If she really wanted to marry David, who not just trot off to a Register Office? You do not have to spend a fortune or even a lot of money. Is she even a little bit prepared for what will happen in 2 months, when (I assume) the keys will be taken back and the house will be auctioned? Has Nic made arrangements for herself and her horses to move?

As for today's Dreary, taken at face value the implication is that Dave was only in it for the dosh and hols, and that now these have gone he's scarpered also. If it were true that someone "only writes the truth" we might feel sorry for her EXCEPT that she has dragged this dysfunctional text-relationship for years and she's big enough to know better. Anybody going out with someone they barely saw who they hated 90 percent of the time would have dumped them by now.

I would have thought David could have been initially attracted by what she portrays her lifestyle as, but went off her when he found her lifestyle consisted of his being a whipping boy whenever she felt like it.
