Whereas I am just worried about which celebrity death Liz will be making all abut her in her next farticle....
Good point. I will expect it to be a Carrie Fisher item starting with how they had a mutual love of dogs. This will rapidly move on to how Carrie destroyed her life by being admired in THAT costume, thus exacerbating LJ's already crippling shyness and body dysmorphia.

That would be better than her linking her bankruptcy to charitable spending much like George Michael's below-the-radar good works, and making some grotesquely inappropriate comment about him dying alone in his sleep, a victim of years of drug and alcohol abuse exacerbated by crippling self-doubt and struggles born of being a fat foreign kid. "Unlike George, who revelled in the hedonistic but doubtless emotionally empty activity known as cottaging, I was a virgin until I was 47 due to my crippling shyness and self-doubt. Perhaps if like George I had dabbled with cocaine to boost my confidence, I too would have had strings of handsome lovers. But the nearest I got to cottaging was buying one for my ungrateful sister. George, like me, quietly spent enormous sums of money on the less fortunate."

Sad about George Michael. But hell, it's sad when anyone goes, famous or not. But yes, I bet Jones will write some 'Farticle' about his demise. Assuming he's not the 'Rock Star' she apparently had a relationship with .... oh, no, of course not. But - just speculating: perhaps this mysterious 'Rock Star' will reappear in Jones's 2017 oeuvre and at the last minute, generously doling out some of his millions, SAVE her from having to slum it in some rented property with pine (oh, the horror) kitchen fittings, plus keeping her in Myla knickers and Bliss Softening Brain ... sorry, Socks, for ever and ever.

As for The Baker, maybe he really is toast.

Since New Year's Day on Sunday is also a public holiday, we might have to wait a further week for whatever inappropriate take she has on recent events.

Just as long as she doesn't claim that the imaginary relationship with a Rock Star involves Sir Raymond Douglas Davies I'll be happy. (That's a lie. All sorts of other things she does / says could make me unhappy, or at least irked.)

I wonder how she will cope with two less paydays in December? As she is freelance I assume she gets paid per article.

It'll work out for her. Didn't her psychic tell her she would get "VAST sums of money!" from her novel and screenplay (now given to her famous actress friend)?

Yes, a happy New Year to all, although it seems the new trend with be telling Liz what she can't write about and/or sending her solicitor's letters when she offends!

Does Isobel actually exist? Her "you are amazing" is less believable than Jones's pretend romance with the non-existant Former Rock Star.

Have just read both the Dreary and the farticle. I think she needs to cut back on the BMP.

I got straight to it by googling 'liz jones diary' and following the top link that came up.

You've not missed owt - it's even more of a litany of badly written rubbish than usual.

Surely an 'ex ex' is no longer an ex?

I see the people are back to staring open mouthed in the farticle. Isn't it interesting that the article she wrote extolling the virtues of pound shops never made it to print, perhaps it wasn't recognisable as her work. I am also confused as to why she has persistently complained about the deficiencies of local suppliers but then writes about how easy it is to order online.

Bit odd that the Diary from two weeks' ago is still featured on the MoS website (though you can find it following the link posted above).
The Farticle about online shopping is just pathetic, even for Jones.

So somebody DOES edit her articles, and tells her that she can't write on certain topics! Said authority said "Enough with the articles about your horses eternally being sick and your decision not to have them shod, and the evil of picking cats up, and how unfair you think it is that people don't like your sheep-murdering dog to be off his lead!" Apparently her ex-ex (would that be the Rock Star she pretended to be in a relationship with?) buttoned her lip too. Well, well, well. Hooray.

I suspect that she moved to the country in the first place to have something to write about, and because it seemed like it would lead to a book. It did, but it was also pretty disastrous for her.

I am expecting whines of "I haven't eaten for weeks because I have so little money to spend on my pets and I love them more than I love myself!"

I was thinking Nirps. Given that imaginary people can't take out an injunction.

How can she say she is bitter that Helen Fielding made a lot of money from Bridget Jones?,did LJ not get the dreary as a cheap copy of Fielding's work anyway?
