Liz has written about nothing else but her new boyfriend in the Diary for the last 5 weeks, what are people meant to comment on? Even if the comments were disabled it doesn't alter the fact that every sweaty fumble is now online for eternity. Mr Scrace could have asked her to stop after she revealed all in the first diary about him, if either of them have any decency they would 'get a room' instead of playing out their middle-age luuuuurve in public and respect the wishes of his business partner. Judging by the amount of supportive comments she's getting most of her supporters don't read her other nasty articles where 'trolling' is the only acurate description for her rantings.

I can't believe Liz has the cheek to say she had no choice but to name Mr Scrace as she mentioned him in her book. She kept the RS secret after all !

She announced she was seeing both the RS and Mr Scrace at an event to publicise her book and has then proceeded to write in detail about their relationship and people he's connected to.

I feel really sorry for Mr Scrace if this is a genuine relationship as he seems a nice enough bloke. If however it's some kind of "arrangement" then he should have read the small print....

I genuinely don't understand what he is getting out of it (apart from a few knee-tremblers) - his business partner has made it quite clear that he isn't happy about it and I can't see her fitting in with his friends who all seem like nice bohemian fun loving types who wouldn't give a stuff about the latest VB collection!

So.....she knows that by writing about her relationships in her column it destroys them. She knows it is upsetting him... but will she stop? Of course not.

now call me silly but I could happily write a column a week based on my dull and tedious life without ever mentioning the other half. And my life is pretty boring. As she travels all the time, has so many "pets" and has a far more exciting job than I do then there should be plenty of material for her to work with without having to mention her ex's and b/f EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Liz.. try writing about other things for a change and maybe this b/f won't get so upset about it all?

Hmm? Could you try and think of him instead of yourself? Could you? Could you at least try??!

I've been a long time reader of this thread and I have to agree with all criticisms of how unreadable the Dreary has become. I hope it will be axed sooner rather than later as it isn't worthy even as a troll piece now.

It is quite bewildering at how many supportive comments to the diary she has received for bringing so much ridicule on herself and her new bloke. As ever though her supporters never, ever say why they find her so 'hilarious' and 'self depricating'. I do suspect there are also multiple user names as so many of the positive comments are nearly identical.

I can't take her supporters seriously at all. They are either extremely sheltered if they can't see the likes of the Mail and Liz Jones for what they are, or they are as batty as Liz is. Poor sods.

It's good in a situation like this to keep an eye on what's being said! Not every day your ex plays out his private life for all to see and comment on. It's quite horrible.

Hello cleopatra11 and welcome to the land where Lizard is not queen.
I find the airing of other people's private lives by this woman quite horrible but even worse is when she "disguises" their identity so that anyone could figure out who she means in under a minute.
She is a hyena, worse than a vulture, eats the bits of a carcass ordinary scavengers won't touch.

My girlfriend had the book Liz Jones's Diary How a Single Girl Got Married - picked it up cheap in Whitby Bookshop. Read it and took it to Costa Coffee book swap in the summer. Still there ............

What a way to live though. Constant paranoia and self-googling? I'd go crazy. Why do people date or even give the time of day these apparent emotional vampires like LJ who don't care who they step on on their way to the top? Unless they are not the poor little victim they appear and there is something in it for them - e.g, publicity?

Having read it in the Irish DM I can tell you that if her BF is still breathing this time tomorrow it's proof that you can't die from embarrassment.

I can't even read it anymore. How do they let her publish not only such a snoozefest, but also in terms of her terrible writing skills? Don't they have any decent editors at the Mail (something tells me no, judging by the amount of spelling and grammar errors in their publications)?

As if it were ever going to be about anything else. It's dire, don't read if you want to stay in a good mood.

Are you a recent convert to the cult of the Lizard loathers?
Most of us who don't like her have one specific incident (Jo Yeates, her mother's ill health, being rude about the people of Exmoor among many to choose from) that put us beyond mild annoyance into the realms of really wanting to see her get the pasting she deserves.
Have you ploughed through the squillions of posts of all parts of this thread? If you have well then you know what to expect.

Not only is it getting worse, but it's lost any semblance of variety. Now every week is an excruciatingly poor attempt at Mills & Boon. We're spared the dead and ailing animals/bullying family/financial problems etc., but all we get is teenage fantasies. From a woman in her 50s. It's painful.

I read all of the DS posts but unfortunately don't have much to contribute to the many erudite posts already written about LJ- hence I don't post much. But the latest farce of a faux relationship with her named "boyfriend" reaches another new low of desperation to keep her job as an inept 'journalist', an even worse 'fashion writer' and a professional troll, which neatly feeds into her narcissistic personality disorder .(key feature being a lack of empathy for others). I find it amusing she complains about others online criticising her "boyfriend" (which isn't trolling btw) when she makes her living doing just that.
She is very happy to consistently lie and to also betray friends and family, pimp her elderly mother and other thinly disguised references to friends and siblings, all in the name of copy which she has frequently said is all important to her. She said on a Radio 4 interview that one of "main reasons I married my husband was so I could write a column about it..."
I find LJ insulting on so many levels.
I think as everyone was calling her out about her imaginary Rock Star boyfriend, who clearly existed only as an imaginary character and filler to her "poor me" and "my poor animals" themes it's hardly surprising she 'suddenly' meets with the love of her life from over 30 years ago- whom she has never actually dated suddenly makes a surprise appearance in her life.
Then decides she has gone from a frigid OCD woman regarding sex, needing four weeks notice to do the deed, to disclosing information that suggests it has unleashed her libido (that she has never had) that she is willing to do it with a chain smoking pony haired tailed 60 something.
It's bollocks.
So the Fake Rock Star conveniently gets the elbow and we now have to read her teenage fantasies of a woman approaching retirement age, about a faux relationship. with David Scrace. Whom she never actually dated or even kissed, etc.,and met over 30 years ago.
She conveniently forgets she wrote about meeting him in 2005 (claiming she only met him this year) and previously describes him as being "autistic" or a "sociopath". .Hardly Mills and Boon material. .
D.Scrace either has the emotional IQ at room temperature to agree to have a real relationship with Old Liz Bones, or, and this is more likely, he is a convenient get out clause from her bullshit about the fictional RS for which he receiving a shed load of money.
Then she can 'dump' him or be 'dumped' in a month or two, because he couldn't cope with being the public eye, etc., nasty online comments, etc., and we'll have weeks of "poor me" farticles and the pressure re proving the imaginary Rock Star will be off her.

Either way I feel disappointed by D. Scarce for even thinking about a relationship with Jones on any level- why the hell would anyone? Sad man to sell himself out like that. But that Jones is good at pimping others out.
Jones is lying as usual, as she is pathetically desperate to keep her job as a professional troll. She is the laughing stock of the vast majority of decent, well regarded, and serous journalists.
Jones is clearly sensitive to comments on her DM articles, as she quotes them.
Jones- if you or any of your "assistants" read this- and I know you/they do- you are a vile, lying, nasty, duplicitous, inept 'journalist,' amoral woman, who would write/do say anything to keep your job. It's has nothing to do with your looks, bizarre as they are. Or that you're a single woman with no children. It's your personality and behaviours that are so abhorrent and that's why most people loathe you
I feel both rather sorry and disgusted by your current alleged "boyfriend" that he is so willing to be both named and shamed by what you write about him.
Utterly vile woman. Sue me.
Rant over!

Just wait until tomorrow.

Annie,Toronto and Blue,Here (Liz's number one fans) will be having a field day.

I don't get all this 'pulled apart by online trolls' business. Liz has done enough trolling of her own down the years. I've no doubt this 'affair' will be a flash in the pan, he'll get sick of their sex lives being written about, they'll split up and he'll descend to the level of Nirpal S-D and be called all the names under the sun.
