Savile may get 2nd knighthood - then lose it
http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/...cle1193551.ece

Weird story.
I was hoping for some decent analysis in the "quality" Sunday papers but haven't found anything yet.
Although this is mildly interesting as background

Give him a new Knighthood to then strip him of it, as they say it is hard to strip a knighthood from a dead person so how will this make it any easier if they could strip a new one they could strip the old one.

The man is dead, it is only by convention as they say that he is still referred to as Sir, people can just stop doing so. But to give him a new knighthood to then take it away to appease people is just silly, the damage is done , the man is dead , this title malarkey is just game playing .

Yep, and even the quality papers, who should know better, do it.

Although here's M W-T in the Sunday Mirror, and they've used a more "sinister" pic of JS, which I think works better journalistically and in terms of taste

And he wouldn't be angling for the job would he ? I feel he will milk this for as lonmg as he can for his own gain, yes he did the right thing with the ITV Doc but now , sorry but I just see him basking in his own glory and he speaks as if he is the only one who is right at times.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...savile-1532115

“We need someone who has considerable experience in child protection and offending behaviour to pull all the separate reviews and multiple inquiry findings together.

I also feel at times that beyond the Savile case , I may be wrong but I get the feeling he has his own axe to grind with some people.

“This person must be allowed to go anywhere and everywhere. He or she must also be able to identify those *responsible for making critically poor decisions and hold them to account

Or maybe I am just turning into an old cynic.

I don't go along with the dislike of M W-T around here. OK he's a bit up his own arse, but is good at his job. He seems a strange person to pick on in such a target-rich environment.

The same band? Hmmmm ....

So the serving politician will know who he is and the band members will know who they are. Why do the press persist in giving out clues? All it does is allow those people to get rid of any potential evidence in preparation for any arrests. They should really stop giving out titbits of information to avoid anyone being able to do a clean up in advance.

Isn't there something like patient/doctor confidentiality? Why is this woman revealing something her patients told her, especially something so horrible as these women supposedly went through? This wouldn't reveal a lack of integrity? It makes me wonder if she is telling the true at all.

Perhaps the Express should have googled Valerie before they printed her bollox.

Confusing website. Not much better. But I agree the story is extremely suspicious.

The sites you quoted are as biased and unreliable as the Express! But I agree the Express should have done their research.

Rush Limbauch, the right-wing US shock-jock, apparently referred to that Guardian article which appeared to be comparatively tolerant of paedophilia.
http://theothermccain.com/2013/01/11...a-real-danger/

This author refers to the "academic pro-paedophile movement" as "a movement to normalise paedophilia".

An interesting contribution on a complex and difficult issue.

The sites I quoted may be biased but it doesn't alter the fact the 'Independent' Newspaper had to apologise to its readers regarding a news item by Jeremy Laurance in 2001 based on Valerie's and others highly fantastical conclusions.

Wonder if the Express will take the page down? Or what comments will be added? Did they appoint David Icke as Editor?

Kevin Cooke the young boy cub's story has now changed. Now I actually believed him. I don't know what to think now.

Original story Daily Mail 15th Oct 2012

‘He took me to a small dressing room. I don’t think it was his because it was really shabby, a dingy little room.
‘He said “Do you want to earn your badge?” and he sat me on a chair in the middle of the room.
‘He put his hand on my knee and then tried to put his fingers up the bottom of my shorts before he unzipped them and touched me. Then he made me put my hand on top of his trousers.
‘There was a knock at the door and someone came in but said “Oops” and left. In hindsight, I think he [Savile] knew what he was doing and stood between me and the door so that no one would see what he was doing.’
He added: ‘After I’d done my shorts up Jimmy warned me not to tell anyone. He said “Don’t even tell your mates. We know where you live. Nobody would believe you anyway – I’m King Jimmy”.’

Latest version Guardian 11th Jan 2013

The former boy scout said he was nine when he was forced to give oral sex to an accomplice of Jimmy Savile while the TV host looked on and laughed.

Kevin Cook said he was physically and sexually abused by Savile and another man on a trip to BBC studios to watch the filming of Jim'll Fix It.

He claimed that while he was being sexually abused by Savile a second man walked into the dressing room but just said "oops" and walked back out. He has now spoken to police.

Cook said: "The man walked into the room and carried on the abuse. He made me do stuff to him and he physically abused me as well, he hit me.

They have pulled another story recently written by the same reporter.

I wonder if the police have these people under surveillance and are dropping hints to see who they contact.

Blame the police for leaking this information in the first place.

Interesting that they say '60s' band. So, not a band that carried on into the 70s/80s/now, then?

Edit: I finished that with the words 'now then' (now then). Too much Savile.

F.Y.I, here is a 25min Press TV panel discussion from Friday on the Jimmy Savile case and it's political implications.

First 5mins is basically a background report, then the discussion starts.
