I'm on the instant free trial with my LG smart TV, and haven't come across anything but stereo.

Also, the HD is not as good as broadcast.

LF are dropping the ball on this. Unless and until they do I will stick with their BR postal service.

Lovefilm DOESN'T support DD/DTS.

I suppose that's why they have free trials.

At least you have HD. The PS3 or Sony Bravia's still don't have HD support.

Is the HD quality not as good as a standard HD picture on Freeview or Sky then?

I sent them an email a few days ago after starting a 3 for the price of 1 month trial with them. This was their response on the 3rd Jan...

Thank you for your recent email.

I would like to confirm to you that currently we are working on HD content on Sony devices. I would also like to infotm you that already titles plays titles in higher quality than standard definition on Sony devices, and will have full HD very soon.

Should you have any more queries, please do let us know and we will be happy to assist you.

Kind regards,

looking online, they've been saying that since last year, so I'm not holding my breath it'll be there by the end of my trial.

If you look really closely at the thumbnail box art, its got HD on it. Didn't actually test it though.

Thanks for the info.

Didn't know it had until now, but last night was watching through my Sony bluray and thought the picture had greatly improved - that would explain it then

I've tried watching HD content on LoveFilm via the Wii U, but the picture quality indicator always shows that the 'signal' is just under that required for HD. I suspect that the problem lies with the Wii U because I have a broadband speed of about 14Meg and HD content works well on the PC.
