Did he say he was dancing something from The Omen?

Sounded more like O Fortuna to me!

It was and although I haven't seen "The Omen", I believe it was used in that film.

It was indeed O Fortuna, as famously used in The Omen.

Very brave to use such strong music which can easily overpower any skater, let alone a "novice", but somehow they made it work. Never been a great fan of K Chegwin, but have to say his enthusiasm was both entertaining and infectious. Glad he was saved for another week.

What is the misconception? It is definitely O Fortuna from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

Everyone seems to think that that tune was used in The Omen - but its something like Sanctus Spiritus that was featured in that film.

It was O Fortuna - perhaps he got confused with this.

Quote:
“It was used in Only Fools and Horses whenever Rodney sees his nephew Damien, who was named after the child in The Omen.

From Wiki.

not too sure if he will. adds some comic relief and has already got the sympathy vote as he had to pull out last year due to breaking his rib in training! I think ol' Cheggers may be around for a while!

My moneys on Lauren Goodger going this week anyway!

Three ribs and a shoulder - I think he might have mentioned it last week...

I hope he lasts a few weeks - he has the comedy factor, but can skate quite well too, so doesn't have to rely on the slapstick as much as Todd (who was quite naff sometimes - like 'swimming ' on the ice )

Ray Quinn was spotted at Basingstoke Ice Rink today (by my colleagues at school) - I guess he was imparting his knowledge!

The music in The Omen is 'Ava Santani' by Jerry Goldsmith. He composed the soundtrack to the film and I think he won an Oscar for the music.

Why is everyone pronouncing his name as Chwegwin? Especially that Bleakley woman.

Thanks Honestweegie, I knew there must be someone out there to agree with me!

And also an aknowledgement to Ignezia who pointed out the OFAH reference which it obviously has been incorrectly referenced from!

I've no idea if this is a trend but that's why I started the thread like that. Bleakley said it, then seconds later Scofield said it the same way. At the time, I wasn't sure if he was taking the mick or just getting confused himself!
