My iPhone is locked in Activation mode and won't activate.
No its not been jailbroken, I did a restore because of my baseband kept crashing causing my iPhone to display 'No Service'.

However, I was told I could reset iTunes so it recognises my iPhone as a new phone allowing me to restore from my back up and bypassing the activation process.

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm using the latest iTunes software.

Does nobody know how to reset iTunes into the thinking my iPhone is new and offer me a restore from back up?

I'm getting desperate as the ruddy thing is stuck in activation mode.

Nah it didn't work. Even after another restore it just failed to activate so its stuck on the ruddy activation screen.

Go to an Apple store if you have one nearby, otherwise call telephone support.
