Hi hope someone can help as google hasn't been very enlightening...perhaps my search skills are off this morning 
Anyway, my mother has sent me a recipe for a loaf cake that uses a 1lb cake tin but I only have a 2lb sized tin. Logic says doubling the recipe should work (with added baking time of course), but I am not sure if weight/volume conversion is as straightforward as that. My other option is to use an 8" sandwich tin, which I think is equal to a 1lb loaf tin.
In short, do I want 2x, 1.5x or something else for a 2-pounder, or
Should I stick with the original recipe, using an 8" round tin.
If it helps the cake is an all-in-one using 4oz of everything.
