Panasonic TX-P42X50B
Hi all,
Anybody got one of these?,they are available for about £300. This seems to be a bargain to say the least or is it just a cheapo plasma? Cheers...Phil |

The X series is ( After the U & UT ) Panasonics cheapest range - its aimed at people who just want a picture with no features and often they will view via a scart Sky or Cable , very limited connectivity . If you are after a pleasant viewing experience then go LG or Samsung or Pana do have substantially better TV further up in there range

Hi,
Thanks for those replies.I basically just need it to watch SKY via HDMI.We do watch quite a lot of footie hence the interest in plasma with the reduced(?) motion blur. At this price is this likely to be a Panasonic badged Beko or something similar? Regards...Phil |

panasonic plasma
I think you will find this is an excellent plasma , has freeview hd 2 hdmi sockets, its 720p
Has a lovely natural picture and is very good with sd images . I also have a pioneer kuro , the panasonic is not quite as good as the kuro , but its not that far away. Its ideal as a second tv or a cheap main tv A recent review below from avforums and another from trusted reviews http://www.avforums.com/reviews/Pana...38/Review.html http://www.trustedreviews.com/panaso...2x50_TV_review |

Hi,
Thanks for all your replies.I had a look at this TV in a Richer Sounds showroom alongside 2 of Panasonic's other more expensive plasma screens and it compared well. However all three did have a nasty background green tint which I guess might be how they come set-up out of the box. Regards...Phil. |
