I have had the new phone about a week and now along with being on a new network, previously I was on T mobile with a IPhone 4S, really not impressed and I can't work out if its the phone, network or combination of them both together. The phone feels sluggish, I hate the keyboard, lack the intuition of an iPhone and the Apps are no where near the quality of IOS. Comparing Sky Go on Android to IOS is like comparing chalk and Cheese. Then we come to Three, for a start I can't get any signal at all inside my work office where I had full signal with EE, the speeds also see, erratic, either very fast or very slow? And the coverage is patchy to say the least. My work address is in The City of London and I live in Essex. Is this the coverage I should expect from 3 or do you think there is an issue with the phone. Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

Cheers

Many of the things you describe I.e the experience and feel of the phone, the keyboard are more to do with the phone.

Internet speeds and availability will be to do with the network.

Maybe you just need time to get used to using an android device. It's hard to say really, what works for one person might not work for someone else. Some like apple some like android. Maybe you are more suited to Apple.

How long have you had the phone? Would they allow you to return it and get the iPhone 5 instead,

It's crap on the galaxy note and only marginally better on the nexus 7. Much better on my iPod touch.

If you don't like the keyboard download another one. I use SwitKey 3. There is a free trial version that lasts a month so you can try it out and then it's £2.99 for the paid for version.

Trial version

Paid for version

SwiftKey 3 understands how words work together, giving much more accurate corrections and predictions than other keyboards. Very sloppy typing will magically make sense, even if you miss spaces, and SwiftKey 3 also predicts your next words.
SwiftKey 3 learns the words and phrases you use, and how you interact with your keyboard as you use it, to make typing easier and even more accurate over time. You can also personalize it using your Gmail, Facebook, Twitter or blog posts.

Had enough. Really don't like android, laggy, non responsive, apps are inferior to IOS. And as for three, no wonder their cheap. I have contacted them and they have agreed to cancel my contract completely free of charge, just got to send the phone back. Have gone back to full monty plan on T Mobile @ £36 per month on the iPhone 5.

I think you have done the right thing. There is no point keeping the phone if you are not happy. You could have made modifications like changing the keyboard etc, but even doing that who's to say that you would have liked the phone and then you might have been stuck with it if you'd had it for too long. As for the apps, that is fixed so if you feel they are run better on iOS that isn't going to change anytime soon.

Hi Anika. To be honest I did download the keyboard as per the post above, and agree its better. I think part of the problem lie with me, had apple for a long time but fancied a change, it didn't work out, nothing lost really. It wasn't just the hardware but it was the interface with software, iTunes is so easy to use and sync and the samsung equivalent was terrible. I also have Apple TV and love Airplay. I also found myself thinking dam that app is no way as good on Android as it was on Apple too many times. I also like to have things first if possible and feel that it was always going to be he case of waiting for the android version after the APPLE version had been released, this is exampled by the bbc sport app released yesterday. To it's credit there is certainly more flexibility in a android phone and its a lot cheaper. The flexibility though to me itsnt really that necessary, I would prefer a closed system like IOS that runs like a Ferrari then an Open one like Android that's more like a Ford.
