Sony KDL-32EX443

Walked past the local Sony Centre tonight and saw in the window Sony KDL-32EX443 Freeview HDTV for £299. Sounds a good deal but can't find any reference to this particular model on the internet at all, not even on the Sony website! Anyone know anything about it? Good points/bad points?

That's not listed at all, best to look in SONY support to see whether there are Firmware updates. Could be for some odd European country.

Possibly a missprint for a KDL-32EX343 or a KDL-42EX443.

You have to be careful with older Sony models some don't have DVB-T2 tuners for Freeview HD though they maybe billed as HD. They may have 1366 x 768 panels rather than 1980 x 1080 panels. The second point is of lesser importance, but the point about DVB-T2 matters as you won't have chs 101-104 on the HD multiplex.

Thanks for the reply helmut10. It definitely had the Freeview HD logo on the label and said Bravia KDL-32EX443 as I took a picutre of the label to be sure of the spec. So assuming that the label is correct then it must have DVB-T2. Will have too go and have a better look to see the full spec.

There's no 32EX443 listed on Assist either - in fact the only 32ex models listed are 401, 402, 403, 40B, 421, 424, 425, 43B - but these are all 2010/11 models.

It 'may' be a Sony Centre exclusive model number? (it happens occasionally), but even so they are normally listed on Assist (the Sony service support software).

Well I think it was almost certainly an error. I went past the shop today and the sign has gone. There is a box for a KDL32EX343 in the window but no price or info. There is also now a KDL42EX443 on display.

Needless to say, both of those models ARE listed on Assist
