"you wouldnt drop crisps on the floor in your own house would you"
Well actually I have dropped crisps on the floor in my house and have also dropped numerous other items of food and drink. In fact I can see some toast crumbs on the floor right now which I will attend to in due course. Of course I wouldnt bother if I employed a cleaner as its kinda their job to do it. |

The thing is, I think she was lost her job as a cleaner last year because a sympathetic Alfie made her Events Manager instead so I don't know what happened there?

The vic is a shambles. They need to kick out Alfie and put the vic back under a Watts to save it from the slow death it is currently enduring.

She lost her job in the kitchen after she upset Ray, she was then made events manager. She has also been the bookeeper and was left to run the pub when Kat and Alfie went on holiday. She also seems to be chief babysitter and has been doing all the cleaning, upstairs and down. I hope she moves in with Kat now and leaves Roxy to get on with it.

>_> And last night, she was moaning that there are more cleaners now, despite how much moaning she did about having to clean.

The vic barely makes enough for them to cover the rent yet they have full time chef, recently took on an additional barmaid, and three cleaners

Oh she has in the past, and I'm sure she went back to it for a while. Jean has to do whatever suits the plot. Having her moan about the cleaning was just so TPTB can have Roxy lording it over Kat as she scrubbed toilets. Same with Bianca complaining that it's too much for one person. Cleaning the Vic has only ever been a job for one person right back to Ethel's day.

Jean has become a spare part she is like a 'Mo' character, such a waste of brilliant acting talent.

She got the events manager job when she was fired from the kitchen and Alfie saw she was going to kick up a stink and get all cry-y, so he gave her a sympathy job and she has been leeching off him ever since.

Alife trying to play the constant nice guy, friendly barman act is tiring. Since Alfie turned up I think he's let everyone and anyone have at least one day working in the Vic, it's a joke that a character like Fatboy can get a position working behind the bar! Never would have happened a few years back.
Jean is a spare part, she's a great character and has put in some excellent performances but she worked best with Stacey and with her gone the writers have no idea what to do. The Vic has lost its status within the Square, it's just another set these days. Same thing happened with the market, it used to be integral to the show with major characters working there but now we barely see it. It's all down to the writing which is rubbish. |

Yeah. Fiar respect to the other posters, but in many threads, I have seen people stating that Gillian is a fabulous actor and that is why she should be kept. Thing is though, being a fabulous actor of itself is not a reason to be kept. She and Mo should both leave, since they are not doing all that much lately
