Nice idea in principle.....IF...... you were able to position it in so that you were seated directly in front of it. I dont think i would like to watch it from an angle.
In a bachelor pad or in a separate room designed for gaming / movie viewing, I think it would be great. However, as a family's main TV, I not so sure it would work. |

Curved screens are only necessary when you have a projector screen so wide that the sides of the image look distorted to your eyes, and that's for screens at 140inches.

I'd be worried about reflections on a curved screen. This is only curved horizontally so not as bad as the old non flat screen CRTs but still something to consider.

With the exception of Cinerama, the curve on the screen at your local cinema is quite small, just the right amount to keep the image in focus at the edges. I suspect that people who think these screens are cinematic don't go to the cinema.
